Keyshia Cole has had some hits and platinum albums, but she feels as an artist, she hasn’t reached her full potential.
And now she’s out to make her best album yet.
She penned the following on Instagram and Twitter recently:
Not gonna Lie, I really did want to take the Independent route, I felt like it would be a awesome way to regain some independence. But, clearly that is not Gods way, I say that to say this, I’m ready for this new chapter!!! New chapter with people who want to see me win, which means my family wins, which means my son wins. And the best part of it all is, my fans win!!!!! ‼️ The way the pieces are all coming together, especially at the end of such a tuff year for me!! I feel like my dreams are coming true, all over again. ‼️‼️‼️ TO ALL MY FANS‼️‼️ I will not rest until I create (IN MY HEART) the best album of my career. ‼️ TO ALL NONE FANS‼️ I hope this album will be something you can’t resist, #Music‼️ #IsMyPassion‼️
Her best album was her second album and I don’t think she will ever be able to top it. I still listen to it.

If she is about her business, she needs to log the f-ck off Twitter and lock herself in the studio. You can’t create your best work if you stay on social media all day long.
I love Keyshia’s music and will always be a fan. We should respect a person’s right to grow personally and artistically. I happen to be a fan of all of her albums. We can’t always be the same person bc someone else wants us to be. I know you get good music from being sad and other life situations but we cant always put others needs before our own even if that’s what they want. It’s about doing what the f-ck you want and not caring.
