Rapper Nicki Minaj is pretty much the most successful female rapper on today’s Hip Hop scene, but oftentimes her success is questioned since album sales for her latest studio album, “The Pinkprint” have been lagging.
The album went gold but Nicki hasn’t received a platinum plaque from sales alone.
So when she recently tweeted about going platinum, some blogs called her out on it.
Nicki wasn’t having it though.

Why is she even tweeting about album sales? That’s insecure to me.
She still hasn’t gone platinum? Ouch.
Neither has Kendrick. It’s hard out here.
Well Cole and Drake went platinum. I just think Kendrick’s last album didn’t go over well with everyone and Nicki waited too late to start trying to be serious as a rapper.
But streams are counted all the time…I guess that’s only a problem when Nicki does it. Smh.
She should be too busy to even see what people are tweeting her.
Nicki doesn’t have anything prove if the album isn’t platinum yet it will go platinum and when that platinum plaque comes in I would just post it . I don’t even know why she is arguing with people about this come on Nicki do better.
