In a recent interview with VH1, Yandy Smith-Harris confirms Mendeecees Harris going away to prison for eight years is a tough pill to swallow, but she’s been emotionally preparing for the possibility for a while now.
When asked how she will be able to cope with his upcoming sendoff, she tells VH1:
“See you never want to internalize living alone since you got into a commitment with your best friend…the person you want to wake up to every day of your life for the next sixty years if you’re so blessed to do so…to have.
“So when I was told that I might possibly have to spend one night without my husband…heartbroken is not even the word for it.
“This will be different from the last time Mendeecees went away. This time I can prepare myself. I can prepare my life. We already started to prepare. I think knowing is half the battle for me. The unexpected is what I really couldn’t deal with and where I had a hard time.”

It’s a sad situation all around. The kids have to remain the priority though. It’s going to be so hard on them.
He could have gotten more time. Hopefully 8 years will go by quickly. I am sure they will make it. They have been preparing for a while now. God Bless their family! At least he handled his situation better than Apollo did. It seemed like Apollo fine A** (I must say) blamed everybody else except himself.
He may get out earlier for good behavior or some sh-t. They’ll get through it.
Yeah, unfortunately Federal Penn is day for day and time reduction is merely anything. I’m glad it wasn’t 20 years.
I wouldn’t say she made a mistake of marrying him as some people are calling her out for. He is the father of her children and her love. Yandy is a strong woman for going through all of this.. My question is if the tables were turned would Mandecee do the same.? He better act right by her all the time even when this is over with.
Yandy is a ride or die.
