R&B singer R Kelly just dropped a new studio album recently, but he’s been making headlines as of late for his rather interesting choice of words instead of his music.

Now the music heavyweight has some scratching their heads because of recent comments he made about his mother.

Click next for the details.

  1. Didn’t he recently say a family member molested him and he began to enjoy it? He’s a sick man who needs therapy.

  2. UMMMMM something is wrong with him……like he needs help. And no1 should leave their minor kids around him…he is that type of creepy, weirdo..man…ewwwwwwwww. Why the fck is he talkin anyway??????

  3. I had a crush my Daddy , awh yeah that was my Suga daddy..nevermind . In other news: I don’t see nothing wrong with little bump and grind , Robert Sylvester Kelly seems like he’s ready..incest ready .#PlayingHumpHumpWithMommyISee#HideUncle’sAnalBeads #IncestHurts CrayolaKidsMatter # RESPECTTHAT LOLZ

  4. He should not have said this in an interview, however there is the Oedipus and Electra complex, that has been studied concerning girls and boys psychosexual development. If Im not mistaken, it resolves itself around age 6-7, but may be longer due to him being raised by single parent. Usually we can relate this to simply “idolizing” a parent. But, because of his history, he of all people shouldnt have said it, he knew how people would take it, however he meant it, lol!

    1. Thank you. I left a comment and I didn’t know what the term was for when a child has a crush on their parent. Thank you for posting your comment and explaining it from the psychological point of view. Kudo’s A’Michelle.

  5. If you know anything about psychology; it is normal for little boys to have crushes on their mothers and daughters to have innocent ones on their fathers if it is a healthy relationship. As long as the interactions don’t go over the line. Anything R. Kelly says about sex or relationships will be dissected even if it was an innocent or harmless comment. Either way I never thought that maybe R. Kelley’s very sexual entertainment person may have stemmed from past child abuse. Sexual assault as a child can change a child’s view on sex and relationships in a negative way. I too understand what it is like to be sexually abused as a child and as an adult have to make sure and maintain boundaries. It is a difficult road to travel. I hope he finds his healing and if he did do those things he was accused of to others he should apologize and get himself some help and counseling. Sometimes the abuse victim becomes the abuser. It is a vicious cycle that may be repeated if not dealt with at a young age. I am glad he is speaking out about what happened to him as a child and it may explain some of his behavior.

  6. Sorry, I’m not going to sit up here and make excuses for R Kelly. For some reason black people keep making excuses for this man and his sick ways. When it was revealed he was raping little black girls, the excuse made was the little black girls were fast tailed and they acted older than they were. When he married 15 year old Aaliyah, the excuse was Aaliyah was fast and people keep supporting him anyway. And now that he has a crush on his mom, there’s a good amount of black people lying and saying it’s normal for kids to have CRUSHES on their parents. I have never a day in my life had a crush on my father. I have never met anyone who wanted to marry or f-ck their parents either. R Kelly could literally kill someone and there will be a group of black folks to excuse that too and blame it on him being molested when he was a kid. I give up. I’m done.

    1. No apologies needed. I wasn’t making excuses just stating facts. If you read a little further I go into further detail about his alleged abuse. I say alleged bc I wasn’t there holding the flashlight and I do believe that something happened in those cases; but some people believe that it is okay for an underage child to have consensual sex with an adult. I am not making an excuse for him; as I stated I too was abused. Maybe you didn’t finish reading the paragraph. Psychology was created to understand the behaviors of people and why we do things. If we didn’t have that to explain things we didn’t know then we would just make up shit. By some chance you were speaking in general. Carry on. That’s why they say a girls father is her first love and if he doesn’t treat her right she is more than likely to be in bad relationships and that is also why they sometimes call boys mama’s boys; bc their mother is their first love alo bc that is usually the first person he loves. It is not anything sick about it as long as there are NO boundaries crossed; but even these type of relationships can be misconstrued.

  7. Just because there’s a name for dysfunction doesn’t make it “normal”. There’s nothing normal about having a crush on your parents. R Kelly and anyone else who has a crush on their parents needs therapy and prayer. I’m not sure what else Robert has to do before people just accept he’s messed up in the head.

    1. You are misconstruing what I said. I am not talking about R.Kelly and him allegedly having sex with underage girls. R. Kelly said he had a crush on his mom when he was little; not uncommon for boys or girls bc they usually look up to their parents and because they are so young and they aren’t emotionally developed it is like a crush. As a child gets older and learns about boundaries and healthy relationships granted he or she wasn’t abused along the way like R. Kelly said he was then he and she will know that loving their parents is okay, but not in that sense anymore. I think you thought I meant what R. Kelley did as an adult (allegedly) was normal. I was talking about what he said about having a crush on his mother. maybe if you would have finished reading the paragraph and got some understanding you would have got the gist of what I was saying. Oh well. How about you broaden your horizons and take a psychology class and then maybe you can understand what I was saying a little better and you might also find out why you misconstrued my words. In laymen turns I thinks it’s called “You only hear what you want to hear and don’t pay attention”. Either way keep calm and carry-on.

      1. “I am not talking about R.Kelly and him allegedly having sex with underage girls.”

And neither am I. I said what I said and wasn’t trying to be disrespectful. We can agree to disagree.

  8. I mean it is a little weird to have a crush on your mom, but every little boys first “crush” is there mother. Like the guy has serious problems. He has been through **** and back, Also the girls that he abused badly. But don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with that.
