  1. She needs to stop with the comparisons to Andy. He gets his own amount of backlash for his shows but he’s not only appealing to our demographic and that the big difference. She’s giving us shows that are supposed to be representative of us and our culture yet she doesn’t want us to be offended when we see buffoonery instead of our experience played out on screen. Just take that L and move on Mona.

  2. Nobody likes Andy though. Most people can agree they are both users who prey on black people for a living. Especially black women. So she can have a seat.

    1. No body preys on anyone. These people are on these shows because they want to be. Stop blaming other people for what grown adult people choose to do. Mona, nor Andy preys. They have auditions for these shows and if you don’t want to be on there, then don’t go, period. I’m tired of people blaming other’s for what other’s choose to do with their life.

      1. Girl, have several seats. Nobody asked you what you’re tired of. I’m not sure what happened in your life to make you think your opinion trumps someone else’s and that you get to police what the hell I type on here. But really, you’re not that important. I don’t care what you’re tired of. I said what I said and my opinion is just that…mine. Deal or get a diary to write your hurt feelings in. Not everyone worships Mona’s a-s.

  3. Mona can sugar coat it all she likes, but she’s pimping people to her own advantage. And the people she’s pimping out usually come from nothing and are desperate enough to do whatever it takes to be on her shows. She can’t expect people to gloss over that fact. Make your money, don’t pretend you’re Mother Teresa.

    1. I personally don’t care for Mona. But how do you pimp someone who doesn’t want to be pimped? There’s other ways to make money. I’ve heard of a lot of people turning down reality show offers, because of the stigma that goes with it. These people on this show are there because they want to be. Nobody put a gun to their head and said get on TV, act like a fool or you die! Put the blame where it should be put, on the people that are on some of these shows acting a straight up fool. Not all reality shows are ghetto and classless. Try checking out Flex and Shanice’s show, very good family oriented show! You can’t blame others for the choices they choose to make as grown people. I would hate for some of these people to have to go out in the real world and work a real job. What would their employers find when they google their name?

  4. She talks like she’s Oprah. She’s making money from trashy realty shows that are a guilty pleasure for most of us. People are going to be critical.

  5. I swear everyone on the comments is a HATER.How can you hate on another African American woman or woman period that’s successful ,making money and a brand for herself?? I don’t care if you strip, turn tricks or are a preschool teacher if you good at it and making money I support it.

    1. Not everyone has low standards like you do, honey. Why praise Mona Scott Young when I can praise legit black business women who have created businesses that uplift our people? It’s telling that you brought up strippers on a post about Mona’s “success”. Subconsciously you actually agree with the majority of the commentators. But stick to Kim Kardashian and Amber Rose topics next time…you know topics where people who have vocabularies limited to the word “hater” can actually thrive.

    2. I’m not sure you are considering how role models work. Role models and those who inspire us is a very personal thing and very subjective. Some are inspired by Kim Kardashian, but I’m not. Yes, she has a lot of money but nothing about her accomplishments moves me in that way. To you, success means making money. So I’m sure with your perspective, you would say drug dealers are successful. That’s your perspective, and that’s your right. But if I feel drug dealers aren’t successful, again that’s just my persecutive. If you are on this blog, you should be old enough to understand that we are motivated by different people. There’s nothing wrong with that. While I don’t find Mona inspirational, I get that you do. Calling people haters as if we must all agree on how we see Mona is childish.

  6. No one has to stan for Mona. And she’s being sued for stealing Love & Hip Hop from another black woman. But that’s ok, right because she has made a lot of money? But support who you want to and let us have our opinions. It won’t kill you. Thanks.
