Many in Hip Hop can agree DJ Quik is a legend, and he’s not ever opposed to giving his opinions on the current stars in the industry when he feels good and ready to.
In a recent interview, he actually had some words for Kanye West.

Kanye may feel this was shade but I think a lot of people agree with Quik. Kanye has made some really great music in the past but you can tell his heart isn’t in it anymore.
Kanye is over music and it’s obvious now. I think he only makes albums now to stay relevant. He has multiple classics though.
But a lot of people actually like the album. It’s the rollout people are dragging. DJ Quik sounds jealous.
LOL. Sis some people are saying the album isn’t good too. I know you’re a Kardashian stan but seriously, I know you have noticed Kanye’s music isn’t as good as it used to be.

Ummm a lot of people liked The Life of Pablo including me. This project gave us some old Kanye mixed with new Kanye. It may not be his best but its better than his last sh-t
The album is ok and it’s better than Yeezus. But I’m not going to pretend Kanye still has some magic left in him because I really don’t see it. So I can cosign what Quik said.

Boo, Kanye ain’t gonna do sh-t. He only claps back at women and goofy harmless rappers like Wiz.
I wonder if Kanye will clap back on Twitter like he did with Amber and Wiz. Probably not.

He’s absolutely right and he’s a legend so I don’t understand why some on here are trying to shade him and call him jealous. He has nothing to be jealous about. He is well respected in the Hip Hop community. People are calling Kanye out because they remember how great of an artist he used to be. He’s messing up his legacy running behind Kim and her family.
