Tamar Braxton is officially done with “The Real,” but reports are all over the place as far as if Tamar was fired or the split was amicable.
In fact, show runners claimed in an official statement that Tamar actually wanted to leave the show.
Now someone close to Tamar is spilling it all and they claim Tamar was actually fired.

I’m still waiting for Ashton Kutcher to come out and say we’ve all been Punk’d. It just makes no sense for a new show that’s doing so well to fire anyone right now. I’m not sure what happened behind the scenes, but TPTB made a dumb move. The ladies had perfect chemistry. Now the ratings could suffer.
You said big companies don’t do that, unless you cost them money. Tamar was not well liked by a lot of people who watched the show. They ask their viewers what they like and don’t like and Tamar was just too hood for them. That show will not suffer cause when Tamar was out sick the ratings were very high. Google it and you will see. Tamar has a lot of issues and now she can work on them.
I never said companies don’t do that. I said it was a dumb move and it was. And I doubt advertisers even had an issue with Tamar. She has like three other shows and advertisers don’t seem to have an issue with her on those. Heck even L&HH gets premium advertisers. The Real was always meant to draw urban viewers and Tamar did that. So it’s not an advertiser issue. That’s just PR spin. Most likely Tamar clashed with one of the producers and they decided to fire her. I have a good idea which producer it was too.
Those other shows are not daytime TV. Reality TV is different. You can ask any black person who has a daytime show they will tell you that they can not act hood. Steve Harvey says it all the time. I think you are right Tamar has a big problem getting along with anyone. Just wait you will see. You can believe it was Vince who told her not to be on social media give it some time she will resurface. The sad part is Vince got fired too.
But most talk shows can only get reality stars as guest nowadays (except Ellen). The same people who watch reality shows watch talk shows. That’s why Jerry Springer is still around. Talk shows don’t attract “classy” viewers like that since Oprah retired. And Steve Harvey isn’t refined either. He’s loud and his grammar is atrocious. Wendy Williams picks at her teeth and belches on air. LOL. I mean seriously, if Tamar was “too hood” and not a fit for advertisers she wouldn’t have made it past their test season. That’s the purpose of test runs. They screen out how people do with advertisers. Tamar passed that test with flying colors and has been on the show for multiple seasons. You don’t have to like Tamar but let’s not sit here and pretend the producers aren’t putting out lies and excuses to cover up their messiness. The Real was always meant to attract minorities. Tamar fits in perfectly. The issue was not with advertisers, it was with a producer. And she was fired because they fell out.
Too hood for them? Now see I can’t even buy that excuse. Tamar has been hood since they were just shooting a test run. And they still wanted her. That’s why they chose her in the first place. The Real was never meant to be The View. The issue has never been her being too hood. And I think it’s racist of the executives to even try to throw that out there now. That’s why I am not so sure people need to be faulting any of the hosts for any of this. It’s obvious the real culprits here are the execs.
Back in 2015 it was said that Tamar was having problems with the producers. When white people say you are not good for their brand, that’s what they mean (you are too hood).
Show business works a certain way, and not everyone can recognize PR spin when they see it. I get that. But seriously ask yourself how someone would all of a sudden be bad for a brand they created and several seasons after the test run? The Real has been nominated for Emmys. No one was not a fit. Tamar got into with a producer and was pushed out. It’s all there really is to it. Now if she manages to get another talk show, I hope she’s smarter and doesn’t get too friendly with producers. They stab people in the back all the time in the business. I mean Walking Dead actors have been in the same seat as Tamar. If a producer doesn’t like you, they will push you out and tell the media you were “too difficult to work with” or “not a fit with advertisers.” This is an old lie they throw out when they fired someone for unprofessional reasons.
It’s called a contract, the show has only been on for 2 seasons and most people sign 2 year contracts. There were lots of shows that got nominated but who won. When it comes to the bottom line (MONEY) it does not matter who you are, it Tamar was a fit for their brand and she was bringing in millions of viewers no matter who she fights with she would have not gotten fired. You might want to google Tamar Braxton you will see that she got fired from 5 different labels, everybody can’t be wrong. The fact remains Tamar got fired and no matter what she did if she was an asset she would still be there. I agree with you that she got into with someone cause that’s what she does she can’t even get along with her own family.
Jessica I don’t think it was her being too hood either. Tamar has been the same since the first episode. And despite that, they booked her and made her and Vince executive producers. Not to mention they lied in the press release and said the decision was mutual and she’s leaving to work on her career. Now if they would lie about all that, why wouldn’t they lie about the advertisers bit too? But Loni did say none of them were picked up yet. So maybe Tamar won’t be the only one.
You clearly don’t like Tamar so you’re refusing to use logic. If Tamar was a problem for the brand and bad for ratings, she would have been let go in the TEST RUN. That’s how show business works. Ratings were NOT an issue and if you took a minute to do research you would know The Real’s ratings have been awesome and they dethroned The View. This is not a ratings or advertiser issue. But anyway, argue with yourself. There’s no need for me going back and forth with you when Tamar will just get yet another job. For someone people love to call a flop and a failure, she has more income streams than most and I respect her for it. I’m out.
WOW, who hurt you I never sad i didn’t like Tamar in any of my comment did I say that. I could give a cat’s a-s if she got fired it will not affect my bank account or stop me from getting any blessings God has for me. Like you and everyone else on this site i said my sh-t. So if you want to make it personal you have that right but will Tamar have your back like that. People who have a history of being fired and falling out with everyone around them really needs some help and by saying that makes you think I don’t like someone so be it. I don’t even know this girl, I don’t watch her on TV I don’t listen to her music I know her as Toni Braxtons sister and I heard from some of my friends in the industry in Atlanta that back in the day she dated a lot of producers for tracks and 5 labels fired her and she married one of them named Darrell. I buy music from artist that sell millions of copies of their music and sell out tours. I feel sorry for her cause she got fired from a major station everyone knows that’s not good at all and maybe you should read some of these other comments cause they have dragged the dog sh-t out of Tamar its clear they don’t like her.
The fact that Tamar wouldn’t answer Loni’s phone calls is interesting. I wonder if she’s been talking to Adrienne and Tamera.
She clearly thinks Loni may have had something to do with it. That IG post is full of shade and little references to Loni. Especially the God holds my hand part.

I just don’t believe her. I guess I’m just going to wait until Tamar does her first interview about this because I know she won’t hold back. LOL.
That interview probably will never happen. If Tamar talks she could hurt her career even more than she has with this spectacle she started. People get fired everyday. Move on with some dignity.
You are so right cause they will black ball her. But Tamar is so stupid she will be on every radio show and TV show telling her side of the story but if you are doing your job and doing it well you don’t get fired. Best believe Tamar got herself fired.
Lonnie seem really genuine. Maybe she isn’t the person as the backstabber. Maybe it is someone within the production crew that is friends with B-Scott. You know B-Scott has been known to enhance the story or substitute a name to throw people off…or we just assumed it was one of the the host as we read into the Tamar’s twitter beef. I don’t know but either way, I hope Tamar the best.
Tamar is a Pisces. Please believe unfollowing Loni and Jeannie was her way of letting people know who screwed her over. And if I’m not mistaken, Tamar was also cool with the white chick who was the main producer. So I’m assuming she backstabbed her as well. It sucks and all but the good thing is Tamar has other shows plus a decent music career. She ain’t gonna starve.

This is such a ridiculous situation. Firing Tamar was aa dumb call and now I wonder if she won’t be the only one.
Sh-t somebody is lying and I put money on the real messy a-s b-tches being the network executives. Show business is no different that Corporate America. Just like how they do us at our jobs, you’ll have sneaky b-tches willing to conspire to push you out and bosses who instigate all of that sh-t.
Did the network think they could try to paint Tamar as some had to work with diva and she (and her friends/fam) was just going to let that fly? Anyway I have nothing to say about Loni’s video. The business can make people do some shady things. Tamar has to learn from this and stop thinking she can trust people who smile in her face and hold her hand.

I agree. People may not want to work with her in the future if all this drama follows her. Tamar was my favorite. I liked them all but love tamar. However i wont spend my days speculating and accusing people i dont know of wrong doing. I didnt marry rich so i have to focus my energy on making my own money. She will be fine
They have been dragging Loni so bad but for all we know Adrienne may have been the culprit. Let’s not act like she doesn’t have a history of getting people fired.
Tamar should have known that pink slip was coming because they started running stories about her being hard to work with last year. As soon as she got wind of those stories, she should have gotten her ducks in a row. Never let them catch you slipping.

Eh. I’m not understanding why people are trying to push the Tamar is too ghetto angle when she’s the one who helped put the show together. It was her show, and she tested well with advertisers. And if she was so ghetto, they would have pushed her out before the first official season. I’m pretty sure she fell out with that producer she was always hanging out with. That’s why you have to be careful about trusting people you work with.

Just from listening to Loni, it sounds like producers got into it with her management (Vince). Well at least they told her they couldn’t get on the same page as Tamar’s management. It’s probably time for contract renewals and there were some issues. And if that’s the case, more of them could end up being let go.
If Tamar was smart, she would hit up VH1 and bring her and Tiny’s show back. Give The Real some competition. I mean they just gave Amber a talk show. Why not give Tamar and Tiny a show again? But I’m thinking that may be what she’s working on and that may be what Upscale Magazine was tweeting about.
They are going to replace all these women with white women. Just watch and see.
At the end of the day, Tamar lost her job. And I feel bad about that. But sometimes a closed door is a blessing. God may have bigger and better for her.
This story is disappointing to read because I can see from comments from other black women all around the internet that we still think it’s ok to refer to each other as ghetto. There is nothing ghetto about Tamar. She is not from the ghetto and ghetto is just code language to white people for acting black. Yet we will repeat it in our spaces and degrade each other. Wake up people.
I need these producers to put some respeck on Tamar’s name. They knew how she was before they booked her. If the lip smacking, eye rolling and loud talking was an issue, they should have never hired because Tamar has been Tamar from day one and it ain’t no secret how she acts. And also it sounds like to me they want to change this show into The View part 2 and urban viewers is not what they want anymore. They say they aren’t firing anyone else but it’s just a matter of time before they do. And the show will get cancelled right after they white wash it.
