According to ESPN’s Marcellus Wiley, the beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar started because one of the rappers took shots at the other in an unreleased interview.

During an episode of Max & Marcellus, Wiley spoke about the supposed clash. He said:
I can’t say what I wanna say, but I’m gonna say it anyways, because my contract is up and this might give me more money. All I know is there was a beef, and all I know is I was witness to when the beef would have ignited to proportions we have not seen since Ja Rule/50, maybe even Ice Cube/N.W.A.
They went there. But that was destroyed from everyone’s property. That was destroyed, that interview, that moment was destroyed. That’s all I’m gonna say. But I was there and I heard the shots fired…
It was one-sided, and the other side was about to retaliate if that would’ve got out, but they destroyed the evidence. And I ain’t lying.
Wiley would not confirm which rapper’s team made sure the purported interview was never released. The former NFL player also refused to provide any more details about the alleged situation.
Hmm I’m thinking the one who did the interview was Drake. Drake is always on ESPN and stanning for athletes.
Why speak on it if your not going to tell all?
So basically Drake started it and had his camp get the interview deleted before it got out.
Sounds like Drake started it and then had his people tell ESPN to shelf the interview. He’s always been messy and very competitive. He didn’t have an issue with Kendrick until Kendrick blew up.

I always felt like they fell out over something else and not just the Control verse.
I just don’t see Kendrick being messy during an interview like that so I guess he’s talking about Drake. The only friendships Drake can maintain are the ones from childhood. He’s been two faced to just about everyone he was cool with in the business.
