Draya has been getting some backlash for her choice in Mint Swim models, and some have taken to social media to accuse her of being against darker skinned models.
Many of her critics have called her out for making a habit out of booking lighter skinned models to represent her brand.
But Draya thinks it’s disrespectful to accuse her of doing such and she’s also not here for anyone who questions her blackness.

Representation is important but I wouldn’t expect a bird like Draya to understand that.

And this is why I don’t understand why people cape for her. She clearly danced around the bigger issue. No one is saying the lighter skinned models aren’t black enough, they’re saying she needs to include darker skinned models in representing her brand. And her response is a big a-s HELL NO to that idea. Smh.
