Ratings for “Empire” have been steadily declining and critics have been slamming “Star,” but Bobby Brown apparently doesn’t mind kicking Lee Daniels while he’s down.
In a recent interview with Hip Hollywood, the R&B singer threw some shade while promoting the upcoming biopic on New Edition.

It’s safe to say Bobby Brown is not a fan of Empire, or any of Lee Daniels work for that matter. HipHollywood caught up with Brown at the world premiere for The New Edition Story, and the R&B crooner praised the film while also shading Daniels.
“The movie tells what New Edition is and you’re going to enjoy it because Lee Daniels is not apart of this, Chris Robinson did an excellent job,” said Brown with a huge grin.

Meh. This New Edition biopic seems interesting though.
Bobby is a mess but I love him. He’s just being Bobby Brown creating buzz and hype for their new movie. He is just trying to say its not gonna be a cheesey poorly written movie that jumps all over the place and doesn’t tell the full story. Lol I get it Bobby!
It’s amazing how fast Empire fell off. But if Lee Daniels wasn’t so arrogant, maybe he’d see that the quality of the writing is hurting the show. He should humble himself and hire better writers. If not, it won’t be long until it’s cancelled. Anyway, I’m ready for this New Edition movie.
