Fat Joe Shades Chance the Rapper & Fans Clap Back

By  |

Chance the Rapper and Fat Joe were nominated for the same award; Best Rap Song. Chance won the category with the song “No Problem,” Featuring Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz.

Fat Joe decided to express his saltiness on Instagram not long after Chance the Rapper took home the Best Rap Song Award, along with two more awards Sunday:

I hear you gotta sell it to snatch the Grammy! Whats the Chance of that lol Theres always next year ?? Plata O Plomo season. This Friday!!! #plataoplomo

Chance and Fat Joe fans alike did not take to this comment very well and clapped back:

pe.alexx: You washed up chance deserved it you’re not like you were back in the day.

uptowner: d***, from a fan this a bad look OG! u come off lookin bitter at the younger, when i know thats not the case! n***** gotta stop putting grammy on that plateau! just say f*** em & dont discuss em like @nas ?✔️

cjmarsicano: @fatjoe Personally, I’m wondering how you even got nominated this year in the first place… pathetic that you have to try to Player-hate.

While Fat Joe was posting hate to Instagram, other rap artists sent praise directly to Chance.

First was Drake shooting praise all the way from the United Kingdom:

More Love @champagnepapi

Fat Joe swears he does so much for Hip Hop it’s laughable and this is coming from a NYer. I’ve never been into his music. Anyway, he can stay bitter and mad.

Notice how the two more successful rappers were actually happy for Chance and told him so. Happy and successful people don’t feel the need to hate.

It is nothing is worse than a jealous dude frfr. Those are the types you have to cut out your circle because they’ll be out to get you the whole time while smiling in your face.

Joe needs to stop being so catty and let Chance have his moment. It’s so strange to see men behave so catty on social media.

Chance’s album was one of my favorites last year behind Lemonade and A Seat At The Table. But I just hope he doesn’t fall for the tricky of the Grammys. Award him this year just to snub him terribly bad his next album. As always, they don’t like to award black artists outside of rap and urban categories.
