Drake Claps Back at Jay-Z on New Album?

With Drakes’ newest album “More Life” being released this past weekend, a new round of subliminal diss lyrics surfaced. Drake appears to have Jay-Z in his sights, targeting his subliminal shots towards the hip hop great.

According to sources, the shots appear on the track “Portland, and seem to be a response to Jay-Z’s verse on “Shining.”

Cleveland.com writes:

Drake rhymes [on “Portland”], “I could never have a kid, then be out here still kidding around/Boys playing around, where you really wanna take it now?”

Drake and Jay Z have been trading jabs at each other for some time now. The most recent came from Hov on DJ Khaled’s “Shining”:

“I know you ain’t out here talkin’ numbers, right? I know you ain’t out here talkin’ summers, right? I know you ain’t walking around talkin’ down, saying boss s*** when you a runner, right?”

Drake’s lyrics on “Portland” could be a response to Jay Z. Drizzy later raps, “Fake f*** with me back then, but it’s getting hard for you to fake it now/F*** being rich when I’m forty, man, I’m tryna to make it now.”

Drake is not afraid to speak his mind, as he recently spoke out about Kanye and having other hip hop greats taking shots.

  1. I don’t even understand why Jay Z even gives this energy. He’s a legend and Drake is the one trying to get to where he already is. I guess it’s an ego thing.
