‘Basketball Wives’ Recap: Malaysia Declares War on the Miami Group

Bonnie-Jill and Jackie bring their men out for a double date.

Jackie Christie invited Bonnie-Jill and her boyfriend Kareem Rush for a lunch date. Bonnie-Jill tells Doug and Jackie that they met when he was still playing in the NBA. They didn’t start dating until he retired from the NBA.

Later on, Jackie and Bonnie-Jill tried to recap what happened in Palm Springs but the guys weren’t having it. However, Jackie did invite them to her event.

Malaysia hangs out with her best friend Krystal and updates her on the drama surrounding Brandi.

Malaysia invites Krystal over to her house. They start talking about Malaysia abstinence. Malaysia is proud to be abstinent and will not have sex until she is married again. Then they talked about Malaysia bringing Brandi Maxiell to a dinner in Palm Springs which didn’t sit well with the OGs. Malaysia was not pleased and she says that Tami, Evelyn and Shaunie are old ladies who behaved liked they were in kindergarten when they decided to walk out. Malaysia tells Krystal that she will see Jackie and the other ladies at Jackie’s party and that situation will be addressed.

“I am larger than life b****, you have to see me.” -Malaysia

Jackie’s party isn’t without drama.

Jackie heads to the club where she is hosting her sex party. Her staff is struggling with the extreme decorations including scorpions on tables.  Keonna shows up and Jackie reveals she invited both Aja and Christen Metoyer to get to the bottom of the abortion rumor.

Once the event begins, the ladies appear one by one on the red carpet. Tami was the first one to appear and was overwhelmed by the scantily clad models. The models have whips, chains and s&m gear. Tami seems to get nervous when one of male models starts whipping them with leather whips. Evelyn shows up next, followed by Saniy’yah. Evelyn is not feeling the extreme nature of the party.

“I feel like I need to go to church.” -Evelyn

Jackie makes her grand entrance to her party with a woman on a dog leash. Tami jokes and says in her interview that she realized at that point that Jackie is into “puppy play.”

Things turn serious once Cristen shows up. Although she is cordial with the other ladies, Cristen has her guard up. Cristen only wanted to appear at the party to confront Jackie.

Malaysia showed up and spoke to Evelyn, Tami and Shaunie. Evelyn feels she should apologize for bringing Brandi to her dinner.

Jackie and Cristen have a sit-down.

Jackie and Cristen sit down and talk at the party. Christen confronts Jackie about the abortion rumors. When she calls out Jackie’s loyalty, Jackie gets angry and brings up the “Golden Girls” comment. Jackie then brought in Saniy’yah into the conversation when Aja appears. Christen suddenly feels a fight may happen.

Evelyn thinks inviting Aja to the party was a dirty move. Cristen walks out and demands Jackie follows her out. The rest of the ladies follow Cristen outside.

Jackie and Cristen go off to the side and begin to argue.

“You need to stop this nonsense. This is stupid.” -Jackie

Suddenly, Jackie brought out her nude birthday cake to lighten the mood but the other women weren’t feeling it and then leave the party.

Tami and Shaunie recap Jackie’s party.

Shaunie invites Tami over to her house to recap the events at the party. The two didn’t like Malaysia’s aloof behavior. In her interview, Tami says that Malaysia has her number and she can call if she wants.

Later on, Shaunie tells Tami that her father was diagnosed with diabetes. Tami gives Shaunie advice about how to deal with her father in the hospital. Tami then tells Shaunie how her mom died from Pneumonia while in the hospital for another condition. The two break down somewhat but Tami regains her composure to console a tearful Shaunie.

Evelyn recaps with Bonnie-Jill and Cristen.

Evelyn meets up with Cristen and Bonnie-Jill to look for dog clothes and to recap the events of the party. Cristen tells Evelyn that is no longer cool with Jackie after inviting Aja to her party. Evelyn calls Jackie fake for pulling stunts like this.

Bonnie-Jill tries to check Malaysia but Malaysia isn’t here for the games.

Malaysia and Bonnie-Jill join Jackie to help design a label for Jackie’s new wine venture. Jackie wants the ladies to help her come up with a name and logo.

Bonnie-Jill says, “When I think of how a Jackie wine would taste, blood comes to mind.”

When the party comes up, Malaysia tells Bonnie-Jill and Jackie that the ladies didn’t speak to her after that. Bonnie-Jill begins to question Brandi’s motive for being in Palm Springs. Bonnie, starts to take up for the OG’s and Malaysia takes offense.

“Go home to your masters and tell them I said f*** off!” -Malaysia in a confessional

Bonnie-Jill ends the conversation before it gets too confrontational. When Bonnie-Jill leaves, Malaysia confronts Jackie.

When Malaysia confronts Jackie, Jackie takes her side and agrees that the Miami group is being disrespectful to the LA girls. Malaysia goes off when it was revealed that Evelyn says she wasn’t invited to the Palm Springs dinner.

“It’s LA against Miami. If you got a problem with me, say it.” -Malaysia

Malaysia vows to get the Miami group all the way together, while Jackie agrees she’s had enough of their ways as well.

  1. I don’t understand why Malaysia and Brandi are so butthurt. Not everyone is going to like you or want to be around you. Accept that. It’s not that deep.

  2. The Miami cast has taken over! You are no longer needed or wanted so get over it and move on! If you’re so important to the franchise or the show what haven’t you been offered to spend off? Malaysia is making herself look very thirsty and press right now.

  3. So Tami finally starts walking away from drama and Malaysia and Brandi are mad? I say good for Tami. She’s too old to be popping these young girls in the mouth. Walk away and make them seethe.

  4. I think she walks away because she is scared or intimidated. Tami doesnt do well when people stand up to her. She only lash out when she knows you are scared of her and walks away when you talk sh*t back to her.

  5. The Miami cast is annoying, hateful, and childish! I am not a fan of Brandi, but I love Malaysia because she is loyal to her friends and she is NOT a follower like the rest of them. People these days don’t know how to appreciate real and loyal individuals. It seems we live in a world that prefers evil, sneaky, snakes over good people. I am team Malaysia because she represents a woman who can stand on her own two feet without having to FOLLOW a group of women to feel relevant.
