GUHHATL Recap: Bow Wow Talks to His Dad + Zonnique Learns of TI & Tiny’s Divorce

Bow Wow realizes he and Alfonso need a relationship.

Alfonso shows up to the studio and Bow Wow greets him by saying, “Why the f*** are you here?”

Despite that, Alfonso sits down and they talk. Alfonso says he wants to figure out what they can do so they can be around one another again.

However, Bow Wow says he doesn’t know him. Alfonso says, “I wasn’t a good dad. But I have a second chance…”

Bow Wow reminds Alfonso says they their last encounter didn’t go well. Alfonso tells him that he is still drinking. He also admits he was wrong and has a problem with alcohol. He used it to numb his pain from life.

Bow Wow says he is willing to open up to his father, allowing Alfonso to be in his life. However, Bow Wow is going to take it slow with him, and will give him only one chance.

Toya and Reginae make up.

Toya and Reginae are at home and Toya lets it be known that Reginae hasn’t been talking to her. Both of them tell each other that they were mad at each other. Reginae is mad that Toya is asking for an apology and says this will be the last time she’ll work with her.

Despite this, Toya is only trying to get her ready for adulthood.

“I am trying to get her to be an adult.” – Toya

Reginae plays her a recording of her thoughts about what happened at her birthday dinner. Toya is cool with it but tells her that she needs to be focused.

At the end of their conversation, they seem to have squashed things as Reginae gets Toya discuss heading out on another shopping trip.

Bow Wow learns someone is stalking him.

At the So So Def studio, Bow Wow calls Deb to tell her about his talk with Alfonso. Although he was mad at Deb about it, he’s appreciative about everything she did. At the end of the conversation, he apologizes to Deb for how he reacted, saying, “You knew what you were doing.”

Once they hang up, he gets photos sent to his phone of him walking into the studio. This freaks out Bow Wow as he tries to figure out whats going on.

He notices that it’s from a phone number that he doesn’t recognize. He also gets a text that says, “Don’t get caught slippin’ while you in the A.”

He calls his homie Wack and says he’s ready to handle this situation. Wack says he’s about to send people over to the studio to watch his back.

Deb meets with Brave behind Brandon’s Back.

Meanwhile, Deb meets with R&B group Brave for a meeting behind Brandon’s back. Deb tells the ladies that they need her to help them get their music out there. As they are talking, Brandon walks in, surprised.

Brandon says this isn’t the first time Deb has taken an artist from him.

When Brave leaves, Deb tells him that Brave wants her to distribute their music while he continues to work with them. Brandon feels this is disrespectful. However, Deb mentions that she’s been working with them first.

Bow Wow learns of T.I. and Tiny’s divorce, and checks on Zonnique.

Back at the studio, Reginae texts Bow Wow a screenshot of an article mentioning T.I. and Tiny’s divorce. Bow Wow says this news could be devastating if this is true. He then calls Zonnique to see how she’s feeling. He tells her that she’s open to talk about the situation.

Zonnique tells him that she’s alright, and focused on her listening party. She doesn’t want to discuss the divorce. She also tells him about the audition she had with Deb where Deb and Brandon got into it.

Brandon lets Ayana know he’s fed up and makes a tough decision.

Later on, Ayana meets Brandon as he’s shopping. Ayana immediately notices his mood, saying he’s “moody.” When Brandon asks how Amy is doing, she says, “I don’t know.” That reminds him of how things are with Deb right now. He then clues her into what happened at the showcase and Zonnique’s audition. He’s at his wit’s end with Deb.

“I’m tired of being stagnant.” – Brandon

Brandon tells Ayana that he’s moving out of Deb’s house and Ayana is shocked by this.

Bow Wow gives Reginae advice about Brandon.

Bow Wow, who wants to get the beef squashed with Brandon and Reginae, sits down with Reginae in Atlanta. His plead to squash the beef fall on deaf ears with Reginae.

“It’s a respect thing. I need you to respect me.” – Reginae.

Bow Wow asks if she will ever let this go and Reginae says she will never be cool with Brandon.

“You will know you don’t mess with Reginae carter. He will be checked and he will not like it. You don’t mess with Reginae Carter.” – Reginae

Ayana and Amy end up on bad terms.

Amy takes Ayana to the ride the Ferris wheel in Atlanta. Ayana mentions that she regrets bringing Amy to meet her father because it has caused Amy to become distant. While they are on the ride, Amy gets a phone call and doesn’t answer. Ayana thinks a side piece is calling her, although Amy says it’s her job. It gets tense when Amy tells Ayana she should talk to other people.

Amy curses Amy out. She also tells her, “ I hope you get f***ing Chlamydia.”

Brandon moves out and Deb is disappointed in his choice.

The next day, Deb sees Brandon packing up his car, moving out. Deb doesn’t like Brandon not letting her know his plans. However, this is a reaction for Brandon’s displeasure in Deb’s interference in his career plans.

When Deb asks why he didn’t to tell her, he tells her he feels he needs to be out on his own.

The show wraps up at Zonnique’s listening party.

It’s the day of Zonnique’s listening party and she’s busy prepping for it. As she’s in the make up chair, Bow Wow calls her to let her know he won’t make it. He’s still dealing with the stalker situation from earlier and doesn’t want that drama to follow him and mess up her event.

The other cast member slowly arrive. Reginae texts Bow Wow and he tells her to stay away from Brandon.

Brandon is on his way to the party with Ann, another artist of his.

Ann asks if Deb will be there and Brandon say’s yes. She also asks who else is going to be there, he mentions Reginae and then brings up their beef. He tells Ann, “We might need security.”

When Brandon arrives with Ann, Reginae sees Brandon. She runs to Toya and lets her know that he’s here. Toya is unbothered and says Reginae will have to deal with the situation on her own. She finds Ayana and Ayana tells her to be cool about it.

“Y’all can sit on the same d*** couch!” – Ayana

Brandon says hey to Reginae and Reginae doesn’t respond. She then texts Bow Wow who reminds her, “Don’t do anything you’ll regret.”

Reginae says she knows this party is for Zonnique so she won’t do anything to ruin the night. However, Brandon is more focused on Deb being there and their beef.

Attention turns to Zonnique, the lady of the party, who introduces her EP. The listeners use headphones to listen to tracks. The crowd seems to be feeling the songs. Zonnique is thankful that people are being receptive of her music.

At this point, the cast begins to recap their parts of the season. Ayana is bitter-sweet about everything because of how things ended with Amy. Toya wants everyone to remain peaceful. Brandon is not on speaking terms with Deb.

Deb pulls Brandon to the side to talk but he’s not interested. This catches Zonnique’s attention, who openly wonders if it was a good idea to fire Tiny in the first place.

Bow Wow is confronted by his stalker.

Back at the So So Def studio, Bow Wow is going over his verse with the producer. He is feeling the verse. As this happens, an old friend walks in saying, “Whats up Hollywood?” Bow Wow says this is a person that he “used to get money with,” but the friendship ended after Bow Wow started to feel like he was a leech.

Bow Wow and this person exchange some words before things get physical.

“What’s up wit it n****? What, you think you could just come to the A, and think s*** was sweet?” – Old Friend

A confrontation ensues and Bow Wow’s security steps in. The security then manages to kick out the old friend from the studio. At this point, Bow Wow says he will make sure he watches his back.

    1. Completely! That “fight” seen when the guy rushed the studio was so scripted I was like really?! Now being stalked and sent pics via text? Really?! True thugs don’t get down like that. It’s come up on the block and let them hands do what they do or pull the straps. No convo.. no warning. Now had so much mouth b4 dad walked thru but when he came he wasn’t saying jack.. he was docile. Reginae threatening to send folks to deal with Brandon but, she better be careful bc they got her on camera saying that which could make her an accessory to a crime if someone did jack up homeboy. She’s not built for nobody’s prison. Have a seat Reginae.

  1. There were some interesting moments in the season but overall, Wetv needs to make some changes. The cast is fine but the way they edited everything and some of the storylines and lack thereof weren’t cutting it.
