Jackie Christie Shades Shaunie & Jennifer + Addresses Evelyn’s Breakup with Carl Crawford
Jackie Christie recently opened up about Ta’Kari, Evelyn and Shaunie during her appearance on The Breakfast Club.
Here are the highlights of the interview.
On why Ta’Kari has decided to be distant:
“You know, it’s her choice. I love her, Charlamagne. I mean, I love all of my kids. I’ve always spoiled them. They’ve always lived a privileged life. It ain’t about the material things. It’s about me not having a lot when I was little and when I grew up and was successful, I made sure they had everything they needed and wanted. And I guess I was a little too overprotective and I gave them a little bit too much.”
She admitted that Ta’Kari’s true issue may be the fact that she is the only one who does share Doug as a biological father, but Jackie feels she and both Doug tried their hardest to make sure Ta’Kari never felt like the outcast.
When asked when Ta’Kari began to lash out and make accusations about her parenting, Jackie said:
“Probably right around when she started having kids and being with this guy she’s with. She wanted more. He wants more, ‘Well your parents got this. Why they ain’t buy you a Range Rover? Why they buy you a Toyota?’”
She then said that Ta’Kari is in Doug’s will and will get $8 million if he or Jackie passes away.
She also stated that she and Kari talk often and Kari told her she doesn’t know why all these things are being said about her parenting on the internet.
Jackie said she knew her grandson was burned but Ta’Kari told her she didn’t have to come out to see him because he was fine, and at the time, Jackie was in Atlanta doing a play. Jackie says Ta’Kari didn’t need a Go Fund Me campaign because she has insurance and the daycare paid for everything since they were at fault. She also said Ta’Kari told her that a friend is the one who created the campaign.
She also made a bold revelation and claimed she heard the Go Fund Me campaign raised over $19,000 and it went to tennis shoes and weed for Ta’Kari’s friends.
Despite being at odds with Evelyn, Jackie admitted that she does still regret what she said about Shanice:
“I do and I shouldn’t have repeated what I heard.”
She got real shady when she was asked about her relationship with Shaunie:
“I thought me and her was tighter than that and I don’t think that we’re not tight, I just think she got caught up. She brought Evelyn and had the intention of Evelyn coming and doing all of this big stuff and it didn’t happen. And Evelyn felt like, I’ma go and tear Jackie down, and that’s gong to be my storyline and build me up.’ But it just didn’t pop off like that.”
She threw more shade when she was asked if she thinks she could get fired for clashing with Shaunie:
“Not to throw Shaunie under the bus, people blame her to be the person to hire and fire. Shaunie don’t hire and fire. That ain’t my employer. I’m hired by Viacom, VH1 and Shed. That’s who cuts my checks. Shaunie is a cast member to me. And that’s why when people ask me do you feel uncomfortable with the Executive Producer being on the show, I’m like no because I’m an Executive Producer (of my own show).”
Jackie says it wouldn’t be smart for Shaunie to fire her because:
“I am the show.”
On Evelyn’s breakup with Carl Crawford, Jackie said:
“I had heard about it. The streets were talking a long time ago. So that’s what pissed me off. You’re on my show, the show that I’ve cultivated, I’ve been here the whole time, me and Malaysia. Now you’re perpetrating. You want to do all this and have kids…but you’re falsifying things for the public image. And you’re tearing my family down at the same time. But see I never tried to hurt her or go at her like that. I want to make that clear. If I was trying to hurt these women, there’s things I could do.”
Jennifer Williams wasn’t safe either. When asked about where she stands with Jennifer, Jackie said:
“Who is that? Jennifer is on the show? Oh she was one of the guest appearances on the show this season.”
