Trina Slams the Current Generation

Trina will be appearing on VH1’s “Love and Hip Hop Miami,” and the show is expected to premiere in January 2018.

In the meantime, Trina has new music out and she knows all too well even having longevity in the music business doesn’t mean one won’t have to deal with negative comments on social media.

And seniority also hasn’t stopped up and coming female rappers from coming for her on social media as well.

In fact, she recently told Revolt TV that it’s one of the main reasons she’s not here for the current generation.

She said:

“This generation, it sucks to me. It’s one those kinds of things…it’s the most negative derogatory, disgusting, hateful, miserable. Why is everyone so mad? I’m chilling. I’m flying all across the world. Life is great. What are you so mad for? We got the same 24 hours. I don’t have 25. I don’t have 25, 26 and a half. I have 24 just like you. We both have 24. Whatever I do with my 24 is my business. What you do with your 24 is your business. If yours don’t add up, baby, that’s not my problem. I’m sorry. Work harder. Nobody cares.”

  1. I don’t think her issue here has to do much with differences between generations. It’s the introduction of social media in general. Older people are just as messy and disrespectful as the younger ones. But, joining LAHH isn’t really consistent with her sentiment here.

  2. I agree that ppl are definitely more bold and rude behind a screen and keyboard. They’ll say things that they wouldn’t in someone’s face. There’s a lot of bullying and disrespect to ppl they don’t even know. I’ve never understood that type of behavior. This is why I don’t have social media accounts. I don’t need ppl all up in my business and life like that.
