Karrueche Tran’s Manager Slams Iyanla Vanzant

In a recent interview with Angie Martinez, Karrueche Tran and her manager Jacob York discussed the drama that went down with Iyanla Vanzant after her breakup with Chris Brown.

According to Jacob, OWN said Karrueche’s time with Iyanla would just be an interview, but it ended up being a segment for “Fix My Life.”

Here’s what Jacob had to say:

My beef with her is she puts on this idea that she’s trying to help people when she’s only trying to get ratings by…you know, how she was attacking her bothered me. So that’s what it is. It was designed as an interview. It was only designed as an interview. So yes, I do have beef with Iyanla.

I think she’s fake. And what she did to her as a young black woman was foul because we had an agreement that day that she was going to speak to her and hear her story and immediately it was, “Are you a this?! Aren’t you that?!”

And I was like, ‘Wow! You’re going to have to leave.’

Because if you’re going to attack this broken black woman, when you’re supposed to be helping black women, I have a problem.

And then she went on the news and said we reached out to her and we did this…and none of that is true. And we got receipts. She reached out under the false premise that she was just going to interview Karrueche.

It was ridiculous the way that woman acted in the house. It was no civility.

We had to have lawyers involved.

On having a successful acting career, Karrueche admitted she never wanted to end up doing a reality show and promoting tea on social media:

What am I going to do for the rest of my life? I put all of my eggs in one basket. And I turned around and all of my eggs are gone now. What am I going to do now? What am I going to do with my life? I didn’t just want to do fit tea for the rest of my life. I didn’t want to do a reality show.

But seriously though. Those were my options. I could have did a reality show…I could have done this, I could have done that. But I was like, I need to get my life together. I need longevity. I need substance. That’s when I started to put myself first and started working with Jacob and figuring out what I want from life. And from there…slow build. I made it. I’m here.

  1. She played it smart. Now she’s a legit actress making her own coins. As far as Iyanla is concerned, I get why she rubs some people the wrong way.

  2. Oh give me a fking break! The one thing lyanla doesn’t do is coddle people nor allow them to use her for a photo op. I highly doubt that OWN switched up on them at the last minute like he’s saying. I loathe that man.

  3. I think talking to Iyanla helped her. It made some people more sympathetic to her and more people wanted her to start winning after it. So I don’t see the big deal.

  4. yea right.she never watched Iyanla before. Why would she think she would be different. An interview? Iyanla is not a jounalist, or Oprah
