Married to Medicine Recap: Dr. Jackie Seeks Support Amid Curtis’ Infidelity

Dr. Jackie is dealing with Curtis’ infidelity.

Dr. Jackie isn’t the only one who is surprised by his actions. So are the other ladies. They feel it is out of his character.

“He betrayed the group.” -Toya

Dr. Jackie learned about the affair from the blogs.

In her green screen interview, Dr. Jackie says she thinks it’s hurtful that some people would blame her for Curtis’ actions.

She asked Curtis to leave and give her some space to think about things.

“I just never thought he would cheat.” – Dr. Jackie

Toya and Eugene are still getting their finances in order.

With Eugene working more shifts and working further away from the house to pay off their debts, Toya feels a little bit neglected.

Eugene thinks it’s ridiculous for her to feel this way because he’s just working. She admits she’s insecure because of the fact that Curtis cheated on Dr. Jackie.

Eugene makes it clear to her that he’s not Curtis and he won’t be doing any cheating.

“We’re not as s*xual active as we used to be.” – Toya

“We’re in grind mode.” – Eugene

“And grind mode means we have s*x twice a month.” – Toya

Dr. G has his own practice.

Quad comes by to surprise Dr. G with some gifts for his new practice. She’s very proud of him and feels like she’s been an inspiration to his hustle.

She also helped him get his office together.

They discuss Jackie and Curtis.

Dr. G says he hopes they can work things out because they have been together for a long time.

Quad feels like what Curtis did was embarrassing and disrespectful.

Dr. G brings up the reunion and the fact that Jackie said she is open to ending the marriage if it’s best. So in his opinion, he feels like Jackie was checked out of the marriage well before Curtis cheated.

He also feels like both are accountable.

“Jackie did not cheat on Curtis.” – Quad

Dr. Heavenly and her hubby Dr. Damon talk about Jackie and Curtis.

Heavenly says she is devastated but Damon says he’s not going to end his friendship wth Curtis. He also feels Jackie should stay with Curtis.

However, when Heavenly asks him if he would stay with her if she cheated, he says women and men are different.

She lets him know he better not even try to step out on her or she will act a fool.

“You better not ever cheat on me.” – Heavenly

Simone is still trying to get adjusted to having two homes.

She feels like it’s time consuming to still be going back and forth between their two homes. Their eldest son will be graduating high school soon and heading to Howard University.

Cecil warns their son not to get too serious with the first girl he meets when he gets to college.

“Date a whole bunch of people.” – Cecil

Simone then questions what Cecil did when he was in college.

Quad and Toya catch up.

Quad defends the fact that she’s still not ready to have a baby. Toya thinks it’s weird.

Toya admits that Eugene is working so much and they don’t get intimate often.

The subject then changes into Curtis and Jackie.

Toya feels like Jackie didn’t give Curtis enough attention and Quad thinks it’s s*xist for Toya to not hold Curtis to the same standard.

They agree to respectfully disagree.

Dr. Heavenly pushes for a girls night out.

To lift Jackie’s spirits, she calls all the ladies up and suggests they have a night out and a “Waiting to Exhale moment.”

When they get to the hotel, there’s catered food waiting for them and nice views of the city.

Heavenly has several attractive male models come through and tells them that they are just there for “healing.”

She has the male models take off their shirts and give massages.

“I think from now on, you should plan the activities.” – Toya

Quad shows up, followed by Jackie.

Simone decides to prep Jackie in the hallway.

When Jackie walks in, one of the male models picks her up and starts giving her a back massage.

The models give the ladies some time alone, and they start discussing Curtis.

Toya tells her that when she told Curtis at the reunion that he deserves someone who makes him happy, it wasn’t a good move.

“He was lonely.” – Toya

Jackie says no matter what she said, she never gave Curtis permission to cheat on her.

Quad says she would be out if Dr. G cheated, and Toya says it’s not that easy to leave when a woman has kids.

Heavenly says doesn’t think her husband would ever cheat.

Jackie thanks them for the night out and tells them they don’t know what they would do if they were cheated on because it’s not something one can be sure of until it actually happens to you.

“So you gon stay in your marriage?” – Quad

Jackie says her answer changes from minute to minute.

Dr. Heavenly surprises the group with Fab 5 shirts with their names on the back. Jackie is thankful for the support and bond with the other women.

  1. These women are the worst. How can Jackie be blamed for a grown a-s man being a thot out here in the streets?

    1. I think Curtis should be shame. I feel like if Curtis would allow her to have a child of her own (adopt)it would of felt that gap and she would have been home more.
