Omarosa Resigns from President Donald Trump’s Administration (UPDATE)

President Donald Trump has been taking quite a few losses to end the year. The latest one includes the loss of a key Alabama Senate race as Republican Roy Moore lost to Democrat Doug Jones. Now he is losing another apparent member of his administration.

Omarosa Manigault-Newman decided to resign from her position in the Trump Administration. According to the New York Post, She will be leaving her position as Director of Communications for the White House Office of Public Liaison. In this role, she was most known for hosting the presidents of Historically Black Colleges and Universities last year during a summit, where many felt the event was nothing more than a photo-op.

The New York Post writes:

The White House says Omarosa Manigault Newman — one of President Donald Trump’s most prominent African-American supporters — plans to leave the administration next month.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders says Manigault Newman’s resignation is effective Jan. 20, one year since Trump’s inauguration.

Manigault Newman’s decision comes at the start of what’s expected to be a round of departures heading into the new year.

UPDATE: It turns out that Omarosa did not seemingly resign. According to multiple sources, Omarosa was fired by Donald Trump’s Chief of Staff, Gen. John Kelly. In fact, she was escorted off of White House grounds, allegedly, after a shouting match with Kelly.

Check out these tweets about her “resignation:”
