Stacey Dash Threatens to Sue Damon Dash over ‘Honor Up’ As Trailer Resurfaces

A few days ago, Dame Dash proudly posted a movie poster to his social media accounts to promote a film he and Kanye West produced, titled “Honor Up.”

The film, which stars Cam’Ron and Dame Dash, is set to be released in February. People were surprised to see Dame’s cousin Stacey Dash on the poster. In fact, many people, Including ESPN’s Jemele Hill, suggested that she is desperately trying to re-earn credibility within the black community with this role.

As criticism flew all over social media towards Stacey Dash, Stacey posted a rather interesting tweet. She claims that Dame Dash does not have any permission to use her image to promote the movie, nor does she have any involvement with the film.

According to the Jasmine Brand, Stacey is even looking to possibly sue her cousin for using her likeness to promote “Honor Up.”

The Jasmine Brand writes:

theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, Stacey Dash says that she’s lawyering up! Sources tell us that the 50-year-old actress is none too pleased about the new film that her cousin Damon Dash is promoting. Today, Damon posted a movie poster for his new film, Honor Up.

Based on the poster, it appears that she will be in the film, along with Damon and Cam’Ron. When asked if she’s a part of the movie, Stacey says:

“No. I am not. I’ll let the lawyers handle it.”

No word on why Stacey has contacted her lawyer.

The project, previously titled “Too Honorable,” allegedly wrapped up filming in 2015 and seemingly from the trailer, includes Stacey Dash acting. Her name appears to also be in the credits.

  1. Who wanted to see this movie anyway? Is Stacey still unemployed? It didn’t take long for Fox News to discard her like a piece of trash now, did it?

  2. I have nothing for her. I only clicked on the post to see a close up of the earrings she was wearing. I use to love those in the 90’s LOL!
