‘Black Ink Crew’ Recap: Young Bae Attacks New Manager in Training + Richard Returns

Teddy calls Cease to update him about Alex getting locked up.

He wants Cease to return to New York to help him get Alex out of jail. Cease is frustrated because he’s also still dealing with Melody’s absence.

Despite this, Cease feels responsible for getting him out.

“Looks like you gotta go back home.” – Sky

Cease tells Sky that she will have to fly back to New York as well, but Sky tells him she’s not going because she’s managing the shop in Atlanta.

“I’m staying in Atlanta…I work hard enough.” – Sky

Sky changes her mind after Cease promises to get her a first class ticket.

Jadah and Donna decide to move in together.

After discussing how hard it’s been for her to find a new place, Donna learns from Jadah that she can move in with her.

Walter is jealous because he has a crush on Jadah and he feels Donna has gotten too close to her.

Walter asks Jadah out on a date and she says yes.

Cease and Teddy bail Alex out of jail.

He tells them he has some unpaid parking tickets and that’s why he got locked up. Apparently he forgot to pay them off. Cease is very annoyed by this and he feels Alex needs to be more responsible.

“This is the Trump era, bruh. They are trying to lock us up for everything.” – Cease

Sky interviews prospective replacements for Melody.

She conducts interviews on the phone and passes on anyone who doesn’t like strippers and those who happened to be zodiac signs she doesn’t like.

Sky does end up finding one prospect she likes (Tatiana) and tells her to come into the shop.

Walt has his date wth Jadah.

They go to a Spoken Word/erotic poetry event.

Jadah is a little confused by the event but she tries to be open minded anyway.

They make some small talk before Walt goes on the stage to recite his poem about Jadah.

“I guess what I’m really trying to say is…girl you is so fine!” – Walt

Jadah is impressed by Walt’s poem and they go a for a bike ride after.

In a green screen interview, Walt says he’s having a really great time and he really likes Jadah.

Young Bae comes to the shop and says she hasn’t been able to get in touch with her mother in a week. The last time they spoke, her mother told her that Bae’s father threatened her.

“I’m freaking out.” – Bae

She’s thinking about going to Korea to check on her mother but it’s very expensive.

The gang offers to help her by putting their money together.

“We got you, like don’t worry about it.”- Walt

Bae is thankful for all of the support. They all hug.

Cease spends some time with his daughter and her mother.

They play some mini golf.

His daughter tells him she’s getting bullied at school because of her weight. This hurts Cease and he feels he has to let her know that she’s beautiful.

“Don’t listen to em, yo.” – Cease

He tells her that he used to get bullied at school because he dressed differently and rocked an afro.

His mother taught him how to fight and he beat all of his bullies up one by one.

Cease realizes this isn’t good advice and he tells his daughter that the bullies lose in the end thanks to karma. He’s now doing much better in life than the people who picked on him.

Donna moves in to Jadah’s place.

She brings her dog with her. The dog pees as soon as it gets in the apartment.

Jadah is not pleased but her spirits are lifted when Donna opens up a bottle of champagne.

They toast to the beginning of a new chapter.

Cease wants Alex to pay him back.

Since Cease bailed Alex out of jail, he makes him come to the shop early to clean up the shop.

Cease also lectures him about not paying his tickets as he cleans. He tells Alex he has to get his act together so he can take care of his son.

Alex thanks him for having his back and promises to get his life back on track.

The gang has their annual Halloween party at the shop, Bae gets into a scuffle.

They raise money for Bae’s trip to Korea.

Sky surprises everybody when she comes in as Cat Woman and she introduces the new hire Tatiana.

Cease asks her how much experience she has and she tells him she’s managed four shops before.

Tatiana walks over to Donna, Jadah and Bae and tells them to tattoo a client.

“Wait, who are you?” – Donna

She tells them she’s the manager in training. Bae gets really annoyed because she feels Tatiana is raising her voice. Jadah tries to separate them but Bae gets ahold of Tatiana’s hair and starts hitting her.

Jadah and Donna jump in and get their licks too before security breaks it up.

Sky gets irritated and tells everyone to get it together.

She asks Tatiana what happened and Sky tells her to apologize to everyone.

Tatiana says she will and Tatiana has a talk with Bae. When they get outside, Tatiana tells her she meant no harm and Bae explains her situation with her parents.

Tatiana apologizes and Bae forgives her…for now. She says the following in her green screen interview:

“B*tch you lucky I got mad other sh*t to worry about. B*tch, I’ll see you later.” – Bae

A masked person arrives and once he takes off the mask, it is revealed to be Richard.

The group is happy to see him.

When asked what happened to Nikki, he says he left her in California because she needed some space. He tells them they broke up and the group cheers.

  1. These people fight over the dumbest things. I guess that’s what they will do every other episode now to keep people watching.
