GUHHATL Recap: Deb Pulls Jhonni Blaze out the Strip Club & Splits Further From Brandon

Deb gives Brandon serious advice as she has reservations about Brandon starting his label.

Brandon tells Deb that he’s starting his own label. Debs first says that he isn’t going to get much money at first. She also tells him that he’s going to be looking after people who will test his patience.

Later on, Jhonni Blaze stops by. Deb says the most talented artists are the “most loco,” referring to Jhonni. Jhonni just stopped by because she’s bored. Deb asks about their vocal training, and Jhonni says Brandon helped with her breathing and pronouncing her lyrics.

Brandon is thankful for the positive feedback but he’s ready to branch out on his own and separate from being her vocal coach.

Meanwhile, Deb is telling them that they need to start working on her stage presence.

Bow Wow gives Zonnique advice about touring with her mom and Xscape.

Zonnique is in the studio working on a track when Bow Wow stops by. She tells Bow Wow that she’s ready to head out on tour. But her mood changes when they talk about Bow Wow’s struggles getting paid during his last tour.

Bow Wow says it was a struggle dealing with JD not paying him but also pressuring him about his new records. When Zonnique tells him that she may possibly be opening for Xscape, Bow Wow tells her that it’s not her audience, but she should still do it. If she impressed them, she’ll bring in a new element to her audience.

“Take advantage.” – Bow Wow

He then tells them how he had the chance to open for N’Sync when he was 13. It gave him a chance to hone his skills and perform in front of a major audience.

Lastly, when she tells him about Reginae wanting to move in with one another, he isn’t with it.

At this point, she’s really nervous about it. He asks to throw their house-warming party and Zonnique tells him not to have any random girls come by.

“I’ve seen how your parties go.” – Zonnique

Jhonni Blaze is at the strip club and Deb is furious.

Deb is at her studio venting to her assistant about Brandon branching off on his own. She tells her assistant hat she isn’t sure Brandon can handle it. Her attention turns to Jhonni Blaze when Brandon calls Deb to tell her that she’s at the strip club working.

Deb gets angry and heads to the strip club.

Bow Wow “grills” Shaniah’s boyfriend.

Meanwhile, Bow Wow and his producer Pimpin’ are at the gym playing basketball, blowing off steam.

Their mood changes when Shaniah walks in with her boyfriend Willie. She isn’t ready for him to meet JD but she feels talking to Bow Wow will be good.

She leaves him behind to hang out with Bow and his crew. Bow wow immediately jumps into his chance to play big brother.

“You know we’re about to grill him.” – Bow Wow

He jokes as if he’s really serious but breaks the ice. Bow Wow tells Willie that they are just messing around but JD is going to dig into him.

Deb heads out to pull Jhonni Blaze off the pole.

Da Brat is in the studio when Deb calls her. Deb hits her voicemail about Jhonni getting ready to hit the stage at the Blue Flame lounge.

She says that Jhonni promised her to “let go of the pole.”

“This is not any of the s*** I want any of my artists doing.” – Deb

When Deb sees Jhonni, Deb tells her, “Get the f*** of that stage right now!”

When they get outside, Deb tells her that she has to choose between stripping or being managed by her.

“Which world do you want to be in?” – Deb

In her interview, Jhonni says she began stripping after she was kidnapped at 14. Deb hooked up with her as a manager at a point when she was homeless.

She’s indecisive, and Deb walks off. She calls Brandon to talk, but he isn’t hearing for it.

Although she looks at Brandon as more than a vocal coach, he’s not exactly friendly towards her, hanging up in her face when she calls him to tell him about what Deb did.

Shaniah and Ayana are hanging out at Ayana dad’s house working on their mood boards. Ayana tells her that she’s prepping for her breast reduction. DJ Hurricane doesn’t know about the surgery and Ayana has to “finesse” her dad into being okay with it and paying for it.

They also talk about Brandon starting his label, and both of them aren’t sure he will be successful. They note his short fuse with others, calling him “Simon Cowell.”

Bow Wow hangs out with his mom Teresa. He tells his mom the album is about 60% done. She asks when can she hear the album and he says, “when it’s ready.”

Teresa also asks if JD is working on the album and he says no.

He doesn’t think he needs JD to work with him on the album. Teresa grills him for keeping him out.

“That’s your dad. That’s family.” – Teresa

However, Bow Wow doesn’t want to work with JD because he wants a completely new sound. He then uses Lil Wayne’s career as an example to follow.

Lastly, he then tells her how Snoop Dogg gave him advice that he is going to take; do things himself. Teresa agrees but she still doesn’t get the chance to listen to the music.

Ayana tries to convince her dad to pay for her surgery.

While at home, Ayana talks to her dad DJ Hurricane, and he immediately knows she wants money. She first asks for money for her clothing line samples. She really wants him to invest because she doesn’t want to get a bank loan.

When she slips in the money for the breast reduction surgery, her dad tries to shut that down. However, Ayana gets really persistent.

He tries to explain how he had a friend passing away while having a surgery performed. But this doesn’t stop Ayana from getting her consultation. He tells her to have the consultation first and then talk to him.

Brandon and Jhonni have a shouting match and Brandon sets up some boundaries.

At the studio, Brandon gets a visit from Jhonni Blaze. When she sits down, she immediately jumps to why he hung up in her face when Deb confronted her at the club.

Brandon tries to get a word in but he can’t. Jhonni feels betrayed by her vocal coach because he apparently made her feel like family.

“When I call you and when I need you, you’re supposed to be there! You mom came to the club and she knew I was there! And when I called you, you hung up in my face!” – Jhonni

She begins to cry over this but Brandon gets her together. He tells her that he isn’t her manager and she needs to have this kind of relationship with Deb, who is her manager.

However, he tells Jhonni that she is too talented to be into the strip club. He just doesn’t want to overstep his boundaries as he branches out to form his label.

At he end, he gives Jhonni words of encouragement, telling her she is really talented. But she has to stay out of the strip club and work on improving her reputation she has currently as a reckless stripper who stays in mess.

Da Brat tells Deb how to deal with Brandon and Jhonni.

The next day, Deb and Da Brat meet and Deb vents about Jhonni getting pulled out of the club. She’s frustrated because she’s getting reminded by Jhonni of how she used to “clean up” behind Gucci Mane.

Da Brat says that many others would love to be in Jhonni’s position. When Deb tells Brat about Brandon’s goal of starting his label, Brat says that he’s too short-tempered to do it.

When Deb tells her about Brandon going off on Jhonni, Da Brat says he needs to suffer some consequences. She suggests to Deb that she dries up the vocal coaching work she gives Brandon.

“Put your foot down! Say something!” – Da Brat
