Veronica Vega Shades Amara La Nega, Again + Steph Lecor Joins In

Amara La Negra may be getting a lot of support for her honesty about her battles with colorism in the music industry, but some people want her to stop talking about it.

In fact, “The Breakfast Club” co-host Charlamagne Tha God even asked her if all of it is just in her head, and even pointed to Cardi B’s success as “proof” that Afro-Latinas can thrive in the business.

He got slammed on social media as a result, and Cardi’s sister clapped back at Amara and suggested that Cardi didn’t get any benefits from being light-skinned.

Cardi herself has made it clear that she stands by her sister’s now deleted comments.

So it’s probably no surprise that Amara’s former friends Veronica Vega and Steph Lecor may have used Cardi to throw some shade Amara’s way:

As for Amara, she just wants people to stop comparing her to Cardi B:

  1. It’s disgusting that these rats are using Cardi to go at Amara. It’s like they are too slow to understand they are only proving her point. Yeah, it makes so much sense to use the lighter latina to prove that the darker skinned latina has the same opportunities in the music industry.

  2. I hate when they go this route because they automatically make it seem like hard work is all it takes to win and anyone who isn’t winning ain’t working hard. That’s very a-shole to assume. How do they not know Amara isn’t working just as hard as Cardi? Or Dreezy? Or Remy? They are very talented but they ain’t making songs with Bruno Mars. I can go on. Having a certain look definitely helps in that racist a-s music business. Truth be told Cardi ain’t even that good of a rapper. And with that personality, man if she was five shades darker, black people would have boycotted her and said she was a walking stereotype. I kid you not.

  3. Veronica is the typical passive aggressive white girl. They will throw all kinds weak shade and when you call them out on the bullsh-t, they act like they don’t know what you’re talking about and it’s just all in your head. F-ck her.

  4. Wait, wasn’t Steph just on the show saying she understands where Amara is coming from because she’s Haitian American? Man this girl flips flops way more than Cynthia does. Wow.

  5. I don’t like either of these chicks. I think the real issue is they are jealous. Everyone is checking for Amara, not them and they can’t stand it. Amara now has over a million followers. They can keep seething.

  6. I mean who’s really surprised here? These types are always intimidated by a black woman not afraid of speaking her mind.
