‘Insecure’ Star Amanda Seales Makes Interesting Comments About Black Men

Amanda Seales made a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, and she had a lot to say about a multitude of topics.

One of those topics was the friction between black men and black women.

In particular, she didn’t hold back when Charlamagne Tha God asked her about some interesting comments she made in the past:

Charlamagne: I love what you said. You talked about this, you said men love p*ssy but hate women.

Amanda: I said some men.

I’ve just been seeing that quite a bit like especially when you see dudes who are just fearless about it like this J. Whatever Day (J. Holiday) person.

I call him Whatever Day because it’s really become this thought process that says that as women rise, men think they’re falling. And that’s just false, you know? It should be incredibly ridiculous…it’s incredibly ridiculous to consider the rise of women to be the fall of men. Just the way that white supremacy literally stands on the shoulders of, ‘Oh if anybody else has power, then we don’t have power,’ You know?

That is a complete fallacy so when you hear men who are really ardently saying, ‘Stop empowering these women! Women need to know they need to stay in their place.’ Do you know what you’re saying?

Honestly, what they don’t realize that they’re saying is we’re weak. We’re only strong if you’re not as strong as us. That’s what you’re really saying as a man when you say that. So I really feel like a lot of dudes…we as women are like, ‘Why are y’all fighting us so hard on this?’ I know a lot of women who are like, ‘Why do brothers fight with us so hard? Like why are you so mad at me all the time?

Charlamagne: Then brothers fight other brothers who support sisters.

Amanda: Why? Then you realize, You just don’t like me, n*gga. Like, you like my body parts and what that makes you feel like physically, but in terms of me as a person, in terms of me as a woman in this earth with dreams, you don’t really want that to happen because for some reason, you think that will prevent you from achieving yours. And the more we can close that chasm and understand it’s not that way…we should be uplifting each other regardless of gender, etc…then the better off we’ll be. Especially in a black love space.

  1. She is speaking facts. A lot of it is just self hate and projection. They hate their blackness so much and have mommy issues. They stay on Twitter with the foolishness too. They can’t wait to drag us.

  2. I feel like a lot of black men are in need of some serious counseling. Some of the things I’ve seen them say on the internet is pathetic.

  3. She’s speaking truth. I once loved a man who didn’t love women only used women for sex. It took me years to realize it wasn’t me but he who had the problem. I did have a problem though,I fell in love with the wrong black man! Now I have a good black man who loves and supports me in every way. He’s my best friend!

  4. And not one lie was told. I agree that it’s a self hate issue because while they drag us for dumb sh-t like wearing weaves, they literally worship the Kardashians. Kim just trolled black women so hard this week, but black men were on Twitter saying she’s fine and “jealous black b-tches” need to shut up and stop being jealous. You have to wonder who raised these c–ns. They lack black pride and consciousness.

  5. I’ve come to this conclusion as well. That’s why a woman can’t stay with a man who has shown her that he doesn’t respect her. It never ends well. It’s better to be single than be with a dog who hates black women.

  6. Yeah black men were in their feelings about this interview too. But they need to be honest and admit that she said nothing but facts. We can’t move forward if they can’t be real and admit how f-cked up they are. Black women are so loyal and way too forgiving if you ask me. But that’s another conversation for another day.
