GUHHATL Recap: Bow Wow Skips out of Deb’s Event + Brandon Confirms He’s Gay

JD isn’t ready to mix Bow Wow’s project.

In the So So Def studio, Bow Wow and Pimpin played JD a track from Bow’s upcoming project. JD isn’t feeling it. Bow Wow says they are used to the “old Bow Wow” and JD thinks he shouldn’t follow every trend.

However, JD’s mood changes when they play him their club track, and JD immediately feels it. When Bow Wow tells JD he wants him to mix the album, Da Brat takes the time to throw it in Bow’s face that he talked mess behind his back.

But despite Da Brat apparently hating, JD seems to give Bow Wow the impression he would mix the album.

Brandon is ready to make amends.

Meanwhile, Brandon and Melissa are walking in an Atlanta park, recapping Deb kicking him out the house. Despite being kicked out, Brandon feels relieved he had that talk with Deb. Now Brandon wants to tackle his relationship with his friends on the cast. He wants to host a dinner, but Melissa advises to approach them one by one, first, to smooth things over.

Brandon wants to have this dinner to show another side of himself to them. He also found an apartment.

Tiny opens a new juice bar and Deb partakes with DJ Hurricane. Brandon is also stopping by and Deb is anxious to see how he is doing.

But first, Toya, who is 7-months pregnant stops by. Deb and Toya want to know how Ayana is doing and he tells him she’s recovering well.

Deb tells everyone at the juice bar about Brandon’s interview and she says it humiliated her. Toya is irritated by this and doesn’t want to deal with Brandon’s antics again. Deb tells her he must be “accountable for his mouth.”

When Brandon stops by, Toya tells him he better behave. Brandon assures Deb and Toya that he’s going to host a dinner to smooth things over with the cast. Later on, Zonnique and Tiny stop by. Brandon pulls Zonnique aside and he tells her about the dinner plans. Zonnique doesn’t want to talk about the interview anymore but she’s open to the dinner.

As this conversation goes on, Deb tells Toya about her store plans to raise money for an elementary school she’s sponsoring. The proceeds from sales in the store go to the school and it opens soon. The kids want Bow Wow to show up and she’s going to do what she can to bring him by.

Deb is also impressed with Brandon’s growth and plans for his dinner. She hope it goes well.

Brandon comes out to the cast.

Back at So So def studios, Bow Wow gets a text from Andy, who works at a label interested about the project. Bow Wow is still trying to get JD to mix the project and may go another route.

He gets a text later on about Brandon’s dinner and he reluctantly accepts. He arrives to the dinner and kicks it with Zonnique and Reginae first. Brandon is the last one to show up and Reginae is annoyed by his constant tardiness.

Bow Wow then “prays,” asking for Brandon and Reginae to not ignite another beef. Brandon eventually shows and they jump right into it.

Brandon asks them if they had any issues with the interview. Immediately after, you see a flashback of Bow Wow going off about the interview at the House Party. But he has nothing to say here. Reginae, on the other hand, says she wasn’t happy with what he said.

“It’s the same ol’ Brandon…” – Reginae

Brandon catches everyone off guard by saying he is gay. Bow Wow said in his interview that, “He finally said it.”

“It feels good to finally take off this armored shield…” – Brandon

The conversation seems to bond everyone and get the four of them on the same page. Suddenly, Deb stops by and to make sure no antics occurred. She asks if they are in a good spot, and they say yes.

Deb then tells Bow Wow and Reginae about the event at her school and Bow Wow says he will be there. Deb is really happy Bow Wow accepted the invitation.

“I am so happy he is coming in.” – Deb

Then next day, Reginae and Zonnique recap the dinner. Zonnique is also packing, getting ready to go out on tour with Xscape. She reveals she is nervous about the upcoming first show. However, Reginae is really happy for her going out on the road, although she will miss having her around.

“22 shows are 22 too long.” – Reginae

Andy convinces Bow Wow to possibly move on without JD.

Bow Wow meets with Andy, the executive who texted him earlier about the new record. Andy tells him to put something out to get people hooked and expecting the record.

Bow Wow tells him that JD is taking his time, and Andy tells him to, “Test the Water.”

“You gotta go now. Waiting on the mix; that’s silly.” – Andy

Bow Wow agrees with Andy about not waiting on JD. However, he doesn’t want to seem like he’s going behind JD’s back.

It won’t be easy to do, but Bow Wow says he hasn’t been seeing eye to eye with JD.

At the end, he tells Andy he’ll have a decision soon about what he wants to do.

Later on, Deb stops by Brandon’s new apartment. She’s impressed with the place.

Deb is proud of Brandon’s growth.

Deb and Brandon recap what happened at the dinner. He agreed with them about saying things differently next time.

When he tells Deb he came out to them, she said that his s*xuality is obvious.

Brandon misses Deb but knows this is best for the both of them. At the end of their conversation, she says she is happy for him and she loves him. Brandon then gives Deb a key to his apartment.

Da Brat is furious Bow Wow made moves without JD.

Somehow, Da Brat found out about Bow Wow talking to other labels and she’s had enough. She texts JD about it and feels JD needs to “put his foot down.”

Bow Wow also pissed off Deb because he didn’t follow through on his promise of meeting the kids at the school she’s sponsoring. Despite this, Deb still had some good words for the kids.

She’s calling and texting Bow Wow and can’t get in touch. She calls his assistant and he tells her he needs to get a shot to go to Canada. When Deb questions him about this, the assistant then says he got a shot for strep throat.

Deb, who’s angry, tells Bow Wow’s assistant that she will tell her fans he let her down. She then calls Waka Flocka to see if he can come in place of Bow Wow. When one of the kids asks, “Where’s Bow Wow?” Deb tells them he isn’t coming.

“You messed up with me Bow. You messed up.” – Deb

Back at the studio, Da Brat tells JD about Bow Wow’s meeting. Da Brat calls Bow wow ungrateful for talking to Andy. JD still feels perplexed about the project because he hooked Bow Wow up with Pimpin.

JD also says that Bow Wow listens too much to outsiders. Da Brat says that JD really needs to teach Bow Wow a lesson about loyalty.

  1. I knew Brandon was gay. I think a lot of his issues is that he wasn’t able to live his truth so he compensated by trying to boast arrogantly. Glad he’s said it so, now maybe he can humble himself and watch his mouth. Bow is heading down a wrong path. I think he’s focused on the money. JD has been there from day 1. I think he will guide him bc he cares about him not just about the money. I hope he listens and waits for JD to do what he does. If not I think his album may flop.

  2. if anybody has been paying attention to this boring season Brandon confirmed he was gay in the beginning of the season.

  3. Who needed Brandon to say out loud that he was gay, like Deb said, even Stevie Wonder could see that. But, if he needed to say it ok. I’m sick of Lil Bow Wow with his fakeness, it’s not a good look he reeks it. I agree, I’m not impressed with this season and it is time for some new folks.
