Watch: Tami Roman Breaks Down in Tears as She Explains Why She Can’t Leave BBW

Tami Roman Acting Career Suffering?

Tami Roman says “Basketball Wives” has made it hard for her to have a career outside of the reality show.

During her recent appearance on “The Book of John Gray,” she broke down about how her past actions of the show have had lingering effects.

Here’s what she had to say:

But I’m unhappy because people just see me one way. And that’s not to say that’s not who I am, but that’s not only me.

I have been battling with what makes my lifestyle comfortable but that hasn’t actually been making me as a person on the inside comfortable.

John Gray then responded with the following:

But Tami, if this is not how you want to be portrayed, then why keep doing the show?

Tami then admitted that the money is why she keeps returning:

I don’t want to not be able to provide for my children.

But now when I try to go out and have other opportunities and other revenue streams, people don’t want that girl associated with their projects.

And then it hurts my daughters that people think of me a certain way. You know what I mean?

And so my daughter Jazz does music. It took us forever to get signed because people…she’s my kid. You know what I mean? And it’s just always a challenge but I don’t know how to make it better.

The video concludes with John frankly telling Tami that she’s made a career from being polarizing on a reality show:

Yeah, but Tami you’re a public consumable. People wait for you to respond to your triggers, and your triggers have created an economy.

  1. Ain’t both of her daughters grown though? They should be providing for themselves. Tami does BBW because she likes the money. So no use in crying about how it’s messed up her image.

  2. You can’t choose to act a fool for a check and then be surprised when it ruins your chances to make money another way. That’s life.

  3. Poor excuse. Being on Basketball Wives as a means of financial gain is one thing. Acting an a-s by “choice” is another.

  4. Is she kidding, she got off on being a jerk. She was Billy Bad A$$ with a trunk full of swag. Not a good look for any woman and now she wants to cry about it, Girl spare me your crap…..

  5. I think she needs to tone it down in real life when she goes on these interviews and does whatever she does I think she needs to tone it down several notches and then people will be at least begin to notice that it’s just an act and not who she really is. Unfortunately from the interviews that I’ve seen she acts very ratchet and the way she behaves it comes off as if it doesn’t take much for her to be set off

  6. Not that I feel bad for her but I will admit the few things I’ve seen her act in she wasn’t that bad. She made a career being the bully however people weren’t checking for her before so she did what she felt necessary to get a check. Cardi B really got these reality “stars” thinking they can come up and do better and they really can’t

  7. That’s the risk you take when you decide to be the bad guy on reality shows. I wish her the best though.

  8. Oh well!! You have to think about these things before you decide to act a fool on a reality show for years!!

  9. I feel conflicted for Tammy. On the one hand, I believe she brought this on herself by representing herself in such a negative manner. However, on the other hand I recognize that ppl can change and that as they elevate who they are, they deserve a second chance to change their reputation. I feel like ppl gave Evelyn a second chance when she was just as bad or worse than Tammy. I think if she’s going to stay on the show she should represent in the media who she wants ppl to truly recognize as her true character.

  10. I’d buy this if Tami wasn’t just trying to fight AGAIN the season before the last. She is who she is. Tears won’t change that.

  11. I’m old enough to remember how despicable Tami acted on The Real World. We’ve seen the real her on these reality shows. She’s only crying in this interview to try to persuade people to feel sorry for her so she can get more work. It’s the same reason Hazel did Fix My Life. I see right through it.

  12. All Tami has to do is star in some Tyler Perry movies!Casey Grimes-Finley,Chicago,Illinois
