‘Black Lightning’ Star China Anne McClain Puts Anita Baker on Blast

R&B singer Anita Baker’s catalogue is respected by most music lovers.

But in the age of social media, even she isn’t immune to being called out for fan encounters that aren’t exactly positive.

Hours ago, “Black Lightning” star China Anne McClain took to Twitter to call out Anita Baker.

She claimed that her mother saw Anita in person and proceeded to tell the singer that she loved her music.

However, Anita allegedly was not impressed, and made that clear.

China says she ended up screaming at her mother, and she’s upset that Anita would treat a fan so horribly.

Check out the tweet below.

After Anita heard about the tweet, she responded.

And she claimed that China’s mother was the rude one.

Check it out below.

China would not back down though.

The actress also broke down what happened to a follower.

  1. Anita has been known to be very rude to fans. That’s not new. So I don’t know why she’s denying it.

  2. Of course Anita did this. She hates her fans and always has. You can forget approaching her in person too. She may give you the middle finger and cuss you clean out.

  3. Oh this is totally believable. There has been stories for years about Anita’s attitude. She’s a legend but lacks any kind of humility it seems.

  4. Anita is trash if this is true. Fans are why she got to make a career out of what she loves. She should always be thankful and show some respect. Even if you’re not in the mood to meet and talk to fans, at least politely say thank you and go on your way.

  5. I have to give China credit for keeping it classy because I know she wanted to go all the way off but she remained mature about it.

  6. Who cares. She was concentrating on what she was doing and did not want to be shouted out. Yes sometimes people don’t want to be bothered. But, she could have said she was sorry.

  7. Anita Baker is human. Maybe she was approached at a bad time. No reason to go on social media and try to make her look worse in front of the whole world because she made a human error. I swear, women can be so negative toward each other. That really could have been left unsaid.
