Tammy and Waka Talk Groupies and Claim Power Couple Status in New Interview

Tammy Rivera & Waka Flocka Talk Dealing with Groupies + Claim Power Couple Status

By  |

Waka Flocka and Tammy Rivera haven’t had the perfect romance.

Infidelity caused them to break up but they later reconciled which of course led to plenty of backlash for Tammy.

Regardless, they are in a pretty good place and explain why in a recent interview with Rolling Out Magazine.

The couple told the publication they didn’t return to LHHATL because they wanted to focus on their family and they also revealed how they handle groupies reaching out to Waka.

Check out the excerpt below:

Rivera revealed they opted not to come back for the current season of “Love & Hip Hop” because they want to focus on family. When asked about couples hooking up for the sake of being on the show, Waka said he believes real always shines through.

“You can see the couples that were real because they are still together. The ones that got together for the show or for the attention, they aren’t. It’s not hard to tell,” he said.

Rivera said they still deal with women trying Waka via social media. She still has access to his accounts and laughs about the girls trying to pull him from his family.

“There are girls always trying him and there always will be,” she acknowledged.

“Those girls don’t know me. She is the only woman who has ever gotten through to really know me. Before her, I wasn’t serious like that with women,” Waka confessed.

The key to their newfound stability is constant communication and knowing they have the ability to overcome any obstacle as long as they work on it together. Their friendship is their bond and the foundation of their relationship.

The couple is getting backlash for the interview because the publication labeled them as a “power couple.”

Tammy responded to the backlash on Instagram:

POWER COUPLE= Going through adversity and still manage to come out together! In a industry that thrives off the flesh of broken Homes and families.. BUT still manage to piece together a life almost destroyed by Drugs,, infidelities, trust and even death! Yet still build businesses together, homes and create job opportunities for our family and other ppl families,… so when I say POWER COUPLE just know it took some real power and magic to endure what we been through! I was sent to this man years ago to fight a spiritual battle that he could not see, Not knowing that he was also sent to heal me! Some of you may never grasp what I’m saying…but All praises to the MOST HIGH ?? @wakaflocka #MEETTHEFLOCKAS y’all don’t know the half…

Tammy cares way to much about what other people think.

I think Tammy is still insecure about taking him back. But maybe that’s just me.

Tammy has to make peace with the fact that people are going to judge her for taking a cheater back. The same goes for Cardi. You can tell the criticism really bothers both of them.

I think they really left LHHATL because they have their own show coming out soon.

Why? It’s going to be boring. None of these LHH people are interesting outside of LHH.

Adversity? Willingly cheating on your wife is not adversity. It’s not a misfortune. It’s not bad luck. It’s a bad choice someone made consciously, and Waka did so multiple times. Now them staying together is their business but cheating is not and never has been adversity. She tried it.
