‘Power’ Creator Courtney Kemp Says Tasha St. Patrick is not ‘Ride or Die’ for Ghost

In an interview with TV Guide, Courtney Kemp addressed notions that both characters Tasha St. Patrick and Angela Valdez are “ride or die” for Ghost.

Apparently, Courtney feels viewers are misunderstanding the show if they feel Tasha’s ride or die for Ghost.

“When people say Tasha’s ride or die I’m always like, ‘You’re misunderstanding the show.’ Tasha’s down for her kids, she’s not down for [Ghost],” Kemp told TV Guide.

Courtney explained that Tasha is only working with Angela to keep their son Tariq out of jail. On the other hand, Courtney detailed a few of the things she did to help Ghost. She says Tasha isn’t going the lengths Angela is going for Ghost. In fact, Angela’s risking her career and jail time for Ghost, according to Courtney.

“Angela blew up her whole career for [Ghost in Season 4] to save him from going to jail,” she said. “She’s the one who’s been down for him only. Tasha is like, ‘You left me? Cool, I’m out.'”
