LHHH Season 5 Premiere Ratings Lowest in History?

“Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood” had an incredible season 5 premiere Monday night. However, the drama-filled season premiere could not break a trend for falling ratings for the season premiere episodes. It was believed by many that K. Michelle’s return to the reality show would lead to an increase in the show’s premiere ratings.

But that wasn’t the case.

In fact, the season 5 premiere of LHHH brought in the lowest ratings ever for a Hollywood premiere. Monday night’s episode brought in 2.12 million viewers. This is almost a 7.5% loss compared to the season 4 premiere of 2.29 million.

There’s a trend of lost viewers for each season premiere of LHHH since it’s series premiere in 2014. The series premiere brought in 2.8 million viewers to VH1.

Despite the season premiere’s drop in ratings, it still had the highest rating Monday night of any cable primetime show. It captured a 1.1 of viewers in the highly valuable age 18-49 group. It was also the only major cable program that evening to capture a rating of 1 or better from that group.

Will you tune in this season to catch the antics on LHHH?
