‘Queen Sugar’ Suffers Drop in Ratings

Season 3 of “Queen Sugar” has been a lot to take in.

The romance between Nova and Remy has caused a lot of debate on social media. It’s also clear it will get explosive after Nova comes clean to Charley.

Micah is probably going to get in a lot of trouble while trying to prove himself to his new group of friends.

He’s still furious after learning he has a sibling thanks to Davis’ many years of infidelity.

Charley is getting closer to taking down the Landry family.

And Darla and Ralph Angel may be on the brink of a custody battle. That hasn’t stopped Ralph Angel from starting a romance with his boss’ niece, Trinh.

Despite all the drama, ratings for the show have dropped.

TV By The Numbers wrote the following in regards to last week’s episode:

OWN’s “Queen Sugar” dropped out of the top 25 this week, after falling from its previous 0.3 to a 0.2, while the History Channel’s “SIX” just barely held steady with another 0.2. On USA, “Colony” climbed up one-tenth to a 0.2.

Last week’s episode brought in around 1.01 million viewers. The week before, that episode brought in about 1.20 million viewers.

That’s a drop of nearly 200,000 viewers.

The ratings also hit a series low when episode 3 of this season brought in less than 1 million viewers.
