‘Power’ Recap: Silver Returns + Ghost’s Strained Relationship with Tommy Becomes Deadly

Things are getting intense for Angela.

The episode opens up with Tommy doing line of coke. He’s still mourning Teresi’s death and being the one who pulled the trigger.

Meanwhile, Tasha is also still doing some mourning herself. She’s in Raina’s room, removing clothes from the closet.

Ghost uses his key and enters Angela’s apartment.

When he realizes she’s not there, he calls her. She doesn’t answer because she’s currently being grilled by Tameika, Saxe, Mak, and Donovan.

She’s hired a lawyer and he’s there as they present Angela with a deal.

It’s believed that Angela colluded with Ghost to have Mike Sandoval killed. They know that Sandoval had dirt on Angela so they have motive as to why she would want him dead.

Saxe says Angela revealed Teresi’s CI status with the intent on him being killed after to cover up Sandoval’s murder.

Angela’s lawyer asks for proof of any of these allegations, and Tameika then says that Angela will be charged with criminal conspiracy to commit RICO.

Mak says that they will consider giving Angela a reduced sentence and possible immunity if she flips on Ghost.

But she stands firm.

“I don’t think you know anything. You haven’t made a single arrest.” – Angela

Her lawyer then says he wants Angela to have full immunity or she won’t talk at all.

Tameika says this isn’t possible. What they will offer is disbarment, suspended sentence, and witness protection.

“I want 24 hours to consider.” – Angela

After Tameika and the others leave, Donovan tells Blanca that Angela hasn’t cracked yet.

Back inside the interrogation room, Angela’s lawyer tells her she needs to take the deal. If she went to prison, she would be killed inside since she is law enforcement. She then sets the timer on her phone for 23 hours and 30 minutes.

Silver returns.

As Tasha walks into the hotel, she spots Silver sitting in the lobby.

She’s not happy to see him and feels like he abandoned her.

“I’m sorry.” – Silver

But Tasha is not buying his apology. She tells him he broke her heart. But Silver says he had no choice because Ghost threatened to expose their relationship to the ethics committee and lie about when it started if Silver didn’t lie for him.

Tasha tells Silver to stay away from her and not to come back to the hotel.

While she walks away from Silver, she gets a text from Angela who says they must meet up now.

Tommy runs off Keisha.

While still indulging in coke, Tommy hears a knock on his apartment door. It’s Keisha. He straightens up the best he can before letting her in.

She questions where he’s been because he hasn’t been returning her calls.

Frustrated with himself for killing Teresi and Holly, Tommy tells Keisha she should leave him alone. All he does is hurt the people who get close to him.

Keisha isn’t deterred by this. She tells Tommy she knows he’s not a monster, and this angers Tommy.

He screams at her and nearly grabs her by the neck, yelling for her to leave.

This angers Keisha, and she storms out Tommy’s place as he begs her not to leave.

“Stay the f*ck away from me!” – Keisha

Tommy’s phone vibrates as he gets a text from Tasha telling him to be ready as Ghost will be picking him up in a few minutes.

Tommy gives Ghost an update on Teresi.

While riding to the meeting with Tasha and Angela, Ghost asks Tommy why he’s acting so strange. He hasn’t said a word since he got in the car.

Eventually Tommy says that Ghost was right about Teresi. He found out that Teresi was a snitch and took care of it.

Realizing that Tommy killed Teresi, Ghost says that Tommy did the right thing. He wants Tommy to remember that they are brothers and nobody should ever come between them again.

Ghost believes things can now go back to normal between him and Tommy. But Tommy isn’t so sure.

It’s time for everyone to work together.

Everyone is meeting at Angela, Ghost and Tommy’s old high school.

Before Tommy and Ghost get there, Tasha tells Angela that Silver is back. Angela tells Tasha to keep Silver close because he may be needed. So she shouldn’t end the romance now.

Tommy, Ghost and Tasha learn that Angela has been offered a deal to flip on Ghost. Tasha and Tommy wonder if Angela can be trusted and she’s insulted by this, reminding both that she’s been constantly looking out for them.

But Tasha says that Angela and Ghost are very alike in that they always put themselves first.

“Well we’re all on the same team now.” – Angela

She then begins erasing a white easel board. She tells the others that the feds are trying to pin the Lobos and Sandoval murders on them.

The Feds are pursuing a RICO case but they need to prove a series of predicate crimes each of them has committed.

Tasha helped by giving an alibi.

Angela has a plan.

Tommy tells everyone that Angela gave him and Ghost Sandoval’s whereabouts so they could kill him. She says she did it because Sandoval knew too much about her relationship with Ghost.

Back at the Fed officers, Saxe says that Keisha, Proctor and Dre could be useful. But the main four are Ghost, Tommy, Angela and Tasha. They believe Ghost is responsible for the deaths of Lobos and Sandoval.

They know that Tasha has a background in accounting. She most likely was the one who oversaw the drug money being cleaned in multiple businesses, including Keisha’s salon.

Angela tells the others that if the Feds had any proof on anything, they would have made an arrest by now. So what they need is for one of the four to flip.

“As long as we don’t flip, we’re all safe.” – Angela

Tommy takes a small piece of paper and writes a note, before sneaking it to Tasha.

It reads:

We should kill this b*tch.

Tasha looks at him and signals they should hold off on that for now.

Angela assigns everyone jobs. Ghost needs to get in control of Proctor. Tasha needs to take on Keisha. She will handle Dre.

“I have an idea that will make all of this go away.” – Angela

Silver is revealed to now be working with the Feds to save Tasha. He tells them he will get her to flip on Ghost.

After their meeting, Ghost tells Angela that Proctor is convinced that she’s going to flip on Ghost. Angela says if that were true, she wouldn’t have called the meeting.

Ghost has more to say, but Angela says they will talk more “when it’s over.”

Dre escapes death.

Back at Dre’s place, he’s having a sensual moment with his baby mama Tina. She tells him she’s going to miss him. He tells her he’s going to send for her and their daughter when he finds out where he’s staying. As they are getting it on, two armed men creep into the apartment.

They walk into Dre’s daughter’s room, and see her in the crib.

Then not too long after, they creep into the room while Dre and Tina are still getting it in. Both quickly react, Tina hitting one of the gunmen with a glass, and Dre stealing a gun to kill both.

Seeing that they have a La Arana card on them, he realizes that Alicia put out a hit.  He tells Tina to go to her mom’s and stay there until he figures everything out.

Mak visits Councilman Tate.

Knowing that Tate plans on running for governor, Mak stop by his office and tells him that he needs to give up information on Ghost or Mak will make sure everyone knows about Tate’s shady dealings.

Tate doesn’t have much time to make a decision.

Keisha has had enough of Tasha.

When Tasha gets to Keisha’s place, Keisha is in tears. She’s still upset about her recent blowup with Tommy.

But Keisha is too focused on Angela’s plan to notice Keisha’s tears.

She asks Keisha to remain loyal and not to flip. This upsets Keisha because she feels Tasha has been a horrible friend who has gotten her involved in crimes.

“Wow, you’re coming over her again asking me to break the law for you, again, without even thanking me for the last time. “ – Keisha

Tasha apologizes and says she appreciates all that Keisha’s done. It’s just she hasn’t been the same since Raina’s death.

Keisha feels bad and hugs Tasha.

“So you’re not going to say anything?” – Tasha

This angers Keisha and she yells that she shouldn’t have to keep proving her loyalty at this point.

She can’t understand why she’s being loyal to anymore. Keisha has her own son to worry about.

“You’re right, it’s not fair. But just remember, your name’s on those papers, too. So if we go down, so do you.” – Tasha

“F*ck you.” – Keisha

“F*ck me?” – Tasha

“This isn’t friendship. This is blackmail.” – Keisha

Angered by the conversation, Keisha kicks Tasha out her apartment, telling her never to come back, again.

Tasha sends a text to Tommy telling him to get Keisha in line.

Dre meets with Angela.

Now that his life is in danger, Dre has decided to agree to a deal with Angela. She wants him to pin the Lobos and Sandoval murders on Alicia.

He tells her he will do whatever asked at this point.

Angela agrees to still put Dre in witness protection. When she asks who all he needs to be in witness protection with him, Dre says it will only be his daughter and his baby mama doesn’t need it.

“No it’s just me and my daughter. I don’t need the mother. Make that happen, aight?” – Dre

“Wow. Okay. We can try.” – Angela

Silver tries to get through to Tasha.

He stops at her hotel room.

After their last conversation, he’s getting desperate to convince her to flip on Ghost. He tells her it’s her best option and they can then start their lives together once it’s all behind them.

In order for this to work, Tasha has to file for divorce from Ghost and be willing to testify against him in the RICO case.

Tasha tells Silver that Ghost is the father of her children and she doesn’t want him locked up.

“Testify about what? He didn’t do anything.” – Tasha

Silver tells Tasha to look out for herself and her kids. They can then be together and live the lives they want together.

As Keisha is walking down the street, she gets approached by Saxe. Saxe tells her he knows she’s laundering Tommy’s drug money through her shop. He urges her to get Tommy to flip on Ghost, especially since Ghost has put Tommy though so much, including being involved in Teresi’s death.

Keisha says she isn’t a snitch and neither is Tommy.

“You’re wasting your time.” – Keisha

Proctor gives Ghost an update.

When Proctor makes it to Truth, Ghost immediately makes him prove he’s not wearing a wire. Proctor complies, annoyed with Ghost’s request.

He tells Ghost that the Feds are trying to link Ghost, Tommy and Angela to the deaths of Lobos and Sandoval.

Ghost reminds Proctor that he colluded with Ghost to have Sandoval killed.

Proctor then says that Silver has been talking to Mak and Saxe.

“Silver’s back?” – Ghost

“And Silver links all of us to Sandoval through Angela.” – Proctor

So since Ghost won’t flip on Angela, Proctor suggest Ghost flips on Tommy.

“I should f*cking kill you.” – Ghost

But Proctor says that Ghost should tell the Feds that Tommy told Teresi to kill Sandoval, freeing Ghost, Angela and Proctor.

This way Silver will lose his credibility.

Ghost refuses to flip on Tommy and says that Proctor would flip to look out for his daughter. Proctor feels it’s better to flip for your blood verses a fairy tale relationship, which Ghost has with Angela.

He’s convinced Angela will flip on Ghost. Before leaving, Proctor tells Ghost to “let this Angela thing go.”

Still refusing to flip on Tommy or Angela, Ghost tells Proctor to find another way.

Angela meets her sister Paz for lunch.

Paz got a recent visit from Mak and wants Angela to take the deal. But Angela has a plan and wants to remain loyal to Ghost.

Paz isn’t feeling this and tells Angela it isn’t wise to lose her entire career for Ghost. Especially when he’s still married. Angela says Tasha is okay with everything now and her plan to keep everyone safe will work.

Ghost and Angela wonder what their future can really be.

When Angela returns to her apartment after seeing Paz, she is startled to find Ghost inside waiting.

He tells her he handled Proctor. And she confirms she handled Dre.

As Ghost prepares her a glass of wine, Angela ponders if they can truly be together.

She feels they will always be running from something.

“Is this the ending you wanted?” – Angela

“What if it’s a new beginning?” – Ghost

Ghost tells Angela that things will work out better this time because they finally know all the details about each other, making things “real.”

They hug.

“When you’re standing in front of me it feels possible. But the world outside tells the truth. It’s like what Tasha said before right? I always save myself and so do you.” – Angela

“But now we’re saving each other. Let’s save each other.” – Ghost

Both share a kiss.

Maria returns.

It’s the day of the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Queens Child Project.

Ghost arrives and has a chat with Councilman Tate. Tate says he changed his mind and he won’t be announcing his run for governor just yet. Mak has put pressure on him and he urges Ghost to do whatever Mak wants.

But Ghost tells Tate he’s handling everything and to go ahead and make the announcement. Tate reluctantly agrees.

After Tate makes the announcement, Maria Suarez s in the audience looking on at Ghost, in tears. She is the woman who was kidnapped by Ghost and Tommy on the first episode of the first season. Ghost killed her fiancé and she has chosen to be a witness for the Feds.

She walks away after Tate wraps up his speech.

As Ghost and Tasha are leaving, he confronts her about Silver. He questions why she didn’t tell him Silver was back. She says she didn’t know until now. Ghost knows she’s lying and that’s why he can’t trust her.

He urges her to stay away from Silver because he’s working with the Feds.

Keisha makes her choice.

After their last meeting didn’t go well, Keisha agrees to come to Tommy’s place to talk things out.

He apologizes for how he acted. She apologizes for Teresi’s death. Tommy wonders how she knows and she tells him that Saxe told her.

She also says that Saxe wants Tommy to flip on Ghost. Keisha is all for this because Ghost and Tasha are both selfish.

But if Tommy doesn’t flip on Ghost, then she will go to jail and lose her son.

Tommy urges her not to worry. He says he will protect Keisha and her son. She says Saxe said Ghost killed Teresi. Tommy tells her this isn’t true. While she’s still talking, he begins to reach for his gun under the couch cushion slowly. He’s ready to take her out if she doesn’t agree to not flipping. But she decides not to flip and Tommy places the gun back under the cushion.

“Okay. I’m all in.” – Keisha

They kiss.

Dre meets up with 2-Bit to borrow his bulletproof vest.

He tells 2-Bit that Alicia wants him dead. He’s decided to take a deal with Angela but he’s going to say that Ghost and Tommy are responsible for the deaths of Lobos and Sandoval. That will get Ghost and Tommy out of the picture.

2-Bit is put off by this but Dre says he has a daughter to protect. Dre tells 2-Bit to call the primeras so he can get the cash he needs to disappear. He will come back when things cool off.

Remembering that Kanan told him that Dre killed Broc, 2-Bit tells Dre to call Broc to help him out with everything. Dre says he called Broc and he never answered. Seeing that Dre didn’t admit to Broc being dead and killing him, 2-Bit is just about done with Dre. But he plays it off and tells Dre he will help him get the money he needs.

Tasha and Silver meet in the hotel parking deck.

She confronts him about working with the Feds behind her back.

He tells her Angela committed a crime by telling him where Mike Sandoval was being held. Tasha knows that Silver has been told to make Tasha turn on Ghost.

Silver told her he volunteered became he’s trying to save her.

But Tasha doesn’t want to send Ghost to prison. They have kids together.

So she urges Silver to tell the Feds that Angela never told him where Mike Sandoval was. He says he can’t do that because he already said she did. So she then tells him to pin everything on Proctor instead.

“Please, don’t let me down, again.” – Tasha

They then start kissing and have s*x against Tasha’s jeep. Ghost is around the corner, looking on in anger.

2- Bit meets with Tommy.

After his conversation with Dre, 2-Bit is ready for Dre’s demise. He meets with Tommy and tells Tommy what Dre is planning to do.

He also tells 2-Bit that Ghost told Dre to take out Jason but he intervened to help out Kanan. So 2-Bit feels he’s the reason Tommy still has a connect.

It’s also revealed that Kanan told 2- Bit to work with Tommy if something ever happened to him.

“You got drugs and no people. Right now I got people and no drugs. Me and you got a common enemy. Dre’s a f*cking rat. And if we can work together, we can get rid of him.” – 2-Bit

2-Bit says he knows where Dre will be and he will be wearing a bulletproof vest.

Tommy tells 2-Bit he’s in.

After 2-Bit hops out Tommy’s car, Tommy calls Angela and tells her he’s going after Dre.

Dre runs to the Feds.

Not too long after Tommy meets with 2-Bit, Dre heads to a meeting with Angela.

When she doesn’t show up, a gunman starts shooting at Dre. Dre takes off and starts shooting back. He is quickly overwhelmed as multiple shooters fire off in his direction, including Tommy.

2-Bit shoots Dre in the leg.

Desperate to survive, Dre jumps through the window. He limps towards a van full of Feds.

Steve Tampio urges Dre to come in and sign the deal Angela gave him.

As this goes on, 2-Bit questions why Tommy didn’t take the shot and kill Dre. Tommy shoots at the van, scaring Dre into signing the document.

They then drive off and Steve texts Angela letting her know that Dre signed the deal.

Angela then texts Tommy telling him that Dre signed the deal.

“That’s right, you little b*tch.” – Tommy

The others join Tommy and 2- Bit and complain about Tommy letting Dre get away.

Tommy tells them that he has weight for them to move.

“We back in business. Come on.” – Tommy

Silver seemingly comes through for Tasha.

The feds learn from Silver’s lawyer that he’s no longer cooperating because they know that Dre is their witness in the deaths of Lobos and Sandoval.

So Silver is no longer needed.

Silver was supposed to be there, but he is 30 minutes late.

His lawyer also says that Silver was pressured into saying that Angela told him where Mike Sandoval could be found.

She also says that testifying would hurt Silver’s career as none of his future clients would be able to trust him. The judge agrees much to the dismay of Mak and Saxe.

Not too long after, Mak packs up his things in his office and tells Saxe he got a job in DC thanks to Angela. Saxe tries to talk Mak out of leaving, but Mak says he’s done because they won’t be able to take down Angela.

Saxe stirs Tommy.

Back at Tommy’s place, he hears a knock on the door. It’s Saxe. He tells Keisha to go to the back.

He opens the door and Saxe tells him that Angela and Ghost had Teresi murdered. Tommy says this is a lie and Saxe says that Angela knew he was a snitch.

She then shared that information with Ghost.

“That makes her the dirtiest of them all.” – Saxe

Tommy says Teresi was a snitch and he got what he deserved.

Saxe then says that Teresi was snitching on Ghost and not Tommy. He plays a recording of Teresi saying that Ghost put the hit out on Sandoval and Tommy had nothing to do with it.

“If it were me, I’d certainly consider flipping on Angela and Ghost. I mean they’ve certainly turned on you. Your father loved you. The tape proves it.” – Saxe

Tommy urges Saxe to leave. He breaks down in tears as he plays the recording again.

Keisha returns after Saxe departs. She tells Tommy she knows he was the one who killed Teresi. She says she understands why he did it because Tommy couldn’t trust Teresi.

They both feel Ghost was a snake for not coming to him about Teresi.

Infuriated, Tommy tells Keisha he has to go find Ghost. She tells him she understands. Keisha says she will be there when he gets back.

After Tommy walks out, he takes Holly’s engagement ring off of his chain.

Tommy and Tasha put pressure on Angela.

Tasha heads to Angela’s place.

While Angela is making Tasha a glass of wine, Tasha slyly unlocks Angela’s door.

Angela says Silver must really love Tasha to back her up and not even show up to testify. Tasha says this was actually not her plan. He was supposed to show and she thinks Angela and Ghost went behind her back to keep Silver from testifying.

But Angela says this is not true. Tasha wonders how else Ghost would have known Silver was back if he didn’t get the information from Angela.

“I only told you.” – Tasha

“I haven’t talked to Jamie since this morning.” – Angela

Tommy then walks in and asks Angela if she told Ghost that Teresi was a snitch. She says she did in order to protect everyone. At this moment, Tommy pulls his gun out and walks toward Angela.

“Hey, hey!” – Angela

An angry Tommy tells Angela that Ghost didn’t tell him about Teresi and went to Vincent instead. Vincent had him kill Teresi.

He also mentions the tape in which Teresi only snitched on Ghost.

“And that’s why you two broke team. To protect yourselves.” – Tommy

Angela frantically denies this.

“You don’t know how long I’ve been waiting for this. It’s time for you to go, Angela.” – Tasha

Tommy points his gun at Angela and she asks Tommy how Vincent proved that Teresi was snitching. The photos he gave Tommy came from her and she took them herself. She says the pictures were on top of Saxe’s desk.  He needs to get those photos back because they will trace back to her, then to Tommy.

She explains Saxe won’t have any reason to believe that Ghost went to the Italians with that information.

Tasha tells Tommy to put the gun away and let Angela live.

“Go, Tommy. We’ll deal with this b*tch later.” – Tasha

Before Tasha walks out, Angela swears she didn’t have Ghost kill Silver.

“If he broke team, he did that on his own.” – Angela

“Would you be surprised if he did?” – Tasha

Tommy goes by the restaurant to talk to Vincent.

He asks Vincent who gave him the pictures. Vincent confirms that he got the photos from Ghost.

Vincent also confirms that Ghost wanted Tommy to kill Teresi.

This is the last straw for Tommy.

“Let me get you those photos. You got interesting taste in friends, Tommy. And I understand. It’s hard finding people we can trust to go the hard way, people who get it, get this life, people who see in you what no one else wants to see…That we’re monsters.” – Vincent

Tommy is handed the photos and tells Vincent he has one more thing he has to do.

Back at Angela’s place, she meets with her lawyer. He tells her that Maria Suarez is willing to testify against Ghost in her finance Miguel’s murder.

Her lawyer also confirms that Silver is missing.

Proctor goes to the penthouse. He tells Ghost that there is a female witness ready to testify against Ghost. He believes the woman is Angela.

Angela possibly meets her demise.

Ghost and Angela meet back up at their high school.

They realize that they are still having a hard time trusting each other. Ghost asks Angela if she’s the female witness. She is insulted by this and says she’s not.

Angela asks if Ghost killed Silver. He doesn’t answer and Angela says they can’t be together because they can’t be honest with each other. She says her goodbyes and her phone alarm goes off, letting her know that her 24 hours deadline is over.

Before Angela can walk out, Ghost lies and says he didn’t kill Silver.

She says she wants to believe him and Ghost tells her to believe him.

A flashback scene occurs of Ghost catching Silver in the hotel parking lot after he had s*x with Tasha and strangling him to death.

He and Angela share a kiss.

The camera then shows Tommy slowly creeping in the building with his gun drawn.

He aims for Ghost, and Angela catches this and jumps in front, taking a bullet to the chest.

Ghost looks up and sees Tommy with his drawn out. As Tommy walks away, Ghost screams and holds Angela as she loses blood from the wound.

“Angie? Angie!” – Ghost
