Actress Alexandra Shipp received her first wave of backlash after she decided to play Aaliyah in Lifetime’s biopic on the late singer.

After the film was panned by many on social media, Alexandra was then booked to portray Storm in Marvel/Disney’s latest films centered around the popular comic book superheroes.

This also led to backlash.

Some critics felt like it would have been best for Storm to be played by a dark-skinned actress.

Now that “If Beale Street Could Talk” actress KiKi Layne has expressed interest in playing Storm, Alexandra is clapping back.

Alexandra is so annoying. Anyway it’s well known that Disney is looking into scraping the current X-Men roster after the FOX merger goes through. It has been said they will reboot and hire a new cast. Kiki wasn’t trying to be messy by saying what she did. Alexandra just took it personally because she’s shook about what will happen after the merger.

Thank you. A revamp is on the way and KiKi is being smart by throwing her hat in the ring. Nothing more, nothing less. But Alexandra has to stop blaming people’s dislike of her on her complexion and being biracial. Zendraya is biracial and most people adore her. And that’s because Zendaya just has a likable personality. Alexandra doesn’t and this is another example of why. She’s always defensive. Always.

She doesn’t own Storm. If the studio wants to go in a different direction, they have every right.

KiKi is a beautiful woman and Beale Street is an excellent film. I’d love to see her as Storm.

No one has done a good job playing Storm. No one can even do better than the cartoon we grew up on. But that can be said about most of the characters. The casting wasn’t good and still isn’t.

I just rolled my eyes so hard.

And I haven’t seen Beale Street yet but this woman is gorgeous.

Alexandra is always in her feelings. And her obsession with being light skinned and mixed is weird. It’s all she talks about. But she swears black twitter is the issue.

Y’all trippin. If someone was being loud about trying to take your job, y’all would be mad. This Kiki woman was foul and tactless to do this.

Storm is not Alexandra’s role. No one actor owns a comic book character. Marvel is going to recast the X-Men for the MCU. Kiki Layne (who is perfect for Storm) did nothing wrong.

You know this comment makes me think back on something. Wasn’t Alexandra the biracial actress who complained about being called out for taking roles from actual black women? And didn’t she say something ignorant along the lines of if she didn’t take those roles, she’d have no roles left? Well if that’s her, it looks like she’s getting her karma here. Oh well!

That second tweet reminded me why a lot of people don’t care for Alexandra. She just cannot handle any type of criticism. And if that’s the case, maybe she shouldn’t sit on social media all day reading opinions she doesn’t like.

It’s widely suspected that X-Men will end with this next movie and be completely revamped now that Disney bought out Fox. So it’s not like Alexandra will be Storm much longer. I suspect that’s why she was triggered by that interview. She’s not ready to face reality.

She’s just not likable. She has a nasty attitude and to be honest, she’s not a great actress. So I’m here for a new Storm.

She didn’t get the picture after they killed off Wolverine? Hugh Jackman is A list and Wolverine is the most popular X-Men there is. He’s gone so that means they are about to redo X-Men. She can’t be mad at KiKi trying to secure her coins.

If y’all actually checked out Alexandra’s twitter, she wasn’t coming for Kiki, she was going off on the people who all of a sudden are @-ing her being completely rude to her in Kiki’s name. These rude a** people are telling Alexandra that Kiki is going to take her job, and she should start looking for a new job. It’s black twitter (more so the worse part of it) that’s pitting the two against each other and it’s wrong. Alexandra shouldn’t be receiving this much hate and with Kiki’s article getting buzzed a lot, it’s Alexandra who will have to deal with the punches. It’s not right. We must support each other, always.

It’s not like Kiki said Alexandra is a trash Storm and she’d be a better choice. She just said she wants to play Storm. The current X-Men films won’t last forever. They are doing the Phoenix one which could serve as the final film due to the merger. Most Marvel stans believe they will reboot after the movie is released in June. I hope they do because they did a horrible job with Rogue and Storm. And where is Gambit?
