LHHNY Recap: Safaree Clashes with Rich After Proposing to Erica

Joe continues to go off on Safaree.

In a green screen interview, Safaree says there’s no reason for Joe to be as mad as he is.

And he tells the group that he doesn’t have to report anything to them about his relationship with Erica.

Joe still feels like Safaree owes him and Cyn an apology, and he tells Safaree that he’s being childish. Juju says that it’s weird that Safaree would bring Erica there when he knows she’s not getting along with a couple of people in the group.

Cyn agrees and Safaree gets so angry that he stops interacting with Juju.

Joe makes things right with Cyn, Yandy and Kimbella make up.

Seeing that the conversation is going nowhere, Juju asks everyone to write one thing that they are going to leave behind in Costa Rica.

Juju is leaving behind her baggage from her past relationship.

Maino is leaving behind his anger.

Maggie is leaving behind not having the proper childhood.

Yandy is leaving behind anger and discord. She tells Kimbella that things have gotten too far with them. This makes her emotional and she takes ownership for abandoning their friendship by being selfish.

Kimbella admits that she was hurt that Yandy wasn’t there for her when Juelz’s legal issues began. But she apologizes to Yandy and they hug it out.

Cyn wants to leave behind fear, doubts and chocolate glazed doughnuts.

Joe wants to leave behind shame. He apologizes to Cyn for blowing up on her the previous night. The second thing he wants to leave behind is fear. He fears losing her.

“I got you. Just have me. Boy, you’re strong. I’m a lot.” – Joe

Safaree is leaving behind is Team Jordan sneakers.

The trip couldn’t end sooner for Safaree.

Later that night, the gang goes out to party since it’s the last night there.

Juju notices that Safaree is alone in a corner with an attitude. She feels he should have just stayed home.

In a green screen interview, Safaree says he wishes he would have just missed his flight to Costa Rica.

It’s the day of Juelz’s sentencing.

Both Kimbella and Juelz are really nervous.

Juelz’s mother heads to court with them.

Unfortunately, Juelz gets 27 months. Luckily, he has a few more weeks to spend with his loved ones.

“The hardest thing for me is going to be you and the kids.” – Juelz

Kimbella breaks down crying in the car as they head back home.

On a brighter note, the couple is looking forward to their wedding day.

“I’m happy to have you by my side.” – Juelz

They share a kiss.

Joe proposes to Cyn.

Cyn attends one of Joe’s podcasts.

After the Costa Rica trip, they have been on good terms.

Later on in the podcast, Joe changes into a suit and proposes to Cyn while on stage.

“This is the part where you get up and come on the stage.” – Joe

Cyn happily walks towards the stage and tells him yes.

“I want to spend this life and the next one with you. Yes.” – Cyn

They kiss.

In a green interview, Cyn says that it was the perfect proposal.

Safaree and Erica are engaged.

Maino, Rich and Joe catch up at the studio.

The guys confront Joe on his engagement.

Then Maino brings up the fact that Safaree recently proposed to Erica.

Although Rich is happy for them, he’s mad that Safaree lied abut them being together for months.

“Yo, just keep it a buck.” – Rich

Joe then tells Rich about his blowup with Safaree in Costa Rica.

He explains that Safaree made it seem like he hadn’t talked to Erica in a long time and she wanted him but he wasn’t interested.

Maino says that it’s funny to see Rich so angry about the situation because he didn’t think Safaree had true friendships with any of them.

Juelz and Kimbella get married.

Cyn, Juju and Yandy are bridesmaids.

“I feel good that Yandy is here today.” – Kimbella

In a green screen interview, Kimbella says that her wedding was the best day of her life.

Everyone congratulates Cyn on her engagement.

Maino has a party to premiere his documentary about New York bartenders.

Maggie came out to support.

She’s super proud of him.

Cyn shows off her engagement ring to Juju, Maggie and Juju.

They are happy for her.

Then they briefly discuss Safaree’s engagement. Juju says she’s happy for him.

Safaree is moving to Atlanta.

Not too long after, Safaree shows up. Yandy comes over to speak and praises his proposal to Erica.

He says he didn’t want to tell anyone because he didn’t want to be judged.

In a green screen interview, Yandy says she understands because he got engaged to Erica in like two weeks.

Safaree confirms that he’s moving to Atlanta to start a new life with Erica.

Safaree has had enough.

Rich interrupts their conversation and congratulates Safaree.

He then asks Safaree how many times he asked Safaree if he was messing with Erica.

Safaree says Rich never asked him that. But Rich says Safaree is lying.

So Safaree gets fed up and decides to remove his microphone and leave.

In a green screen interview, Safaree says that he now has to keep his private life to himself. But he’s truly happy and he’s going to keep doing him no matter how many friends he loses.
