Toni reveals she lost her engagement ring and millions in jewelry on a flight.
The episode begins with Tamar meeting with Evelyn and her sisters, except for Toni.
They break the silence by everyone telling Tamar about Login cussing. Toni FaceTimed Tamar and let them know that she ran out due to having to recover jewelry. This is millions of dollars of jewelry and allegedly included her engagement ring.
Next, Tamar brings up how she wants to go to Nigeria. The family scoffs at this and Trina makes a very well-timed joke.
“Tamar, you’re the only one that has Nigerian in them. “ – Trina
Later on, Toni visits Tamar at Tamar’s apartment being used for a closet. The apartment is filled to the brim of Tamar’s wardrobe. Toni’s enamored with Tamar’s bag collection, and Tamar isn’t willing to separate from any of them.
Toni lets Tamar know that they found her train case but the engagement ring is still missing.
To change the mood, Tamar believes Trina eloped as she’s claiming Von’s son as her stepson. So Tamar wants to throw Trina a party as a ploy to ask Trina about this. To prove her evidence, Tamar shows Toni an Instagram post where Trina said this. Toni doesn’t believe this and they decide to make a bet about it.
Trina has thoughts of a wedding on her mind.
Meanwhile, Towanda and Trina link up at a restaurant with Evelyn. Trina noticed a ring on Towanda’s left hand and it thinks it’s an engagement ring.
Towanda doesn’t let anyone know about it and switches the conversation to Trina meeting Von’s ex-wife. The two ladies had lunch and Towanda commends them.
Towanda and Evelyn think Von is a great guy and think that they could be married soon. Lastly, Towanda and Trina want to set up Evelyn on a date. Evelyn puts her foot down and says the man can’t be younger than 60 and has to be tall.
Tamar’s going to do her best to figure out if Trina eloped. So she links up with her and Towanda for a wine tasting. She hopes Trina gets loosened up.
Firstly, Tamar tells them about running into Vince while she’s out with her new man. Her new guy hugged Vince. That put everyone at ease.
Meanwhile, Toni FaceTimes Evelyn to tell her she’s being honored for her Autism advocacy. Evelyn’s excited and enthusiastically accepts the invitation. Interestingly though, there is a dress code and Toni can’t wear an outfit that’s too revealing.
Trina meets Von’s mom.
Trina made it out to St. Louis to spend time in Von’s hometown. Von lets Trina know that his mom has to approve their relationship. This makes Trina nervous. He’s also excited to meet her dad Michael.
Tamar FaceTimes her boyfriend “Lagos.” “Lagos” is her nickname for him as she’s not ready to reveal his name yet. So she heads to her closet to find a “freak-um” dress. But she can’t find anything to wear in her apartment-sized closet.
Toni’s in a wardrobe of her own as she’s getting dressed for her award ceremony. Evelyn shows up and everyone is excited about it. Meanwhile, Trina’s in St. Louis getting ready to meet Von’s mom and aunt. Trina has a bottle of wine as a gift.
Trina’s really nervous but things begin well. When Von tells his mom and aunt they’ve been dating for a year, his mom asks him why they are just now meeting Trina.
Things get interesting when Trina’s asked if she’s been married. Trina says twice and that raises Lori’s eyebrows. Lori asks if an engagement will be the future and they both say yes. When Von goes to make everyone plates, Lori asks if Von will meet her exes.
Overall, things go well and they get the blessings of his mom and aunt.
It’s time for Toni to be honored by the Royal Order of Constantine the Great and Saint Helen. This organization will ordain her as a Lady. Toni’s sons and Evelyn are there and they are happy for her.
We finally see Tamar’s new boyfriend.
It’s Tamar’s date night and Tamar is finally going public with her boyfriend David AKA Lagos. David, age 49, works in finance and has a tech business.
He’s also vegan. Tamar was secretive about David because she didn’t want people googling him and posting tea on the internet and blogs.
The episode ends with them running out early because Tamar got “hot and heavy.”
