On season one of RHOP, Robyn and Gizelle asked Katie about her racial background.
She told both women that she considers herself to be biracial and not black.
Her father is white and her mother is black.
Robyn also asked Katie what box her kids would check when they were asked to confirm their race. Katie answered that she wasn’t sure and they would have to check multiple boxes.
Katie then revealed that she believed Gizelle and Robyn were also biracial because of the way they looked.
Both denied this and said they were proud of being black.

When they got to the reunion, Katie said she felt like Gizelle and Robyn attacked her.
Gizelle and Robyn denied this and stated they only asked questions. But Gizelle said that sometimes it seemed like Katie was ashamed of her blackness.
Things got so tense that Katie and Robyn had a shouting match.

After the most recent episode, Robyn revealed that she took a DNA test. And the test claimed that she is 59% European.
To no surprise, Katie took to social media to gloat. And she called out Robyn.
