Ashley and Candiace continue their argument.
Candiace says that she had no idea Ashley had a miscarriage. So she wasn’t trying to be insensitive when she said it doesn’t seem like Ashley really wants to get pregnant.
Gizelle intervenes and says all of them should call it a night.
The next morning, the ladies meet to begin their next day in New Orleans.
Gizelle’s dad Curtis is having a birthday party later that night.
When Robyn, Monique and Karen head out on the alligator safari, they discuss Ashley and Candiace’s beef. Robyn and Monique feel like Candiace is basically the new Ashley and her mommy issues are holding her back from maturing.
Gizelle and Candiace grab a bite to eat at Dooky Chase. On the way, Candiace says she’s considering apologizing to Ashley.
Katie and Ashley see a tarot card reader.
The reader tells her to stop putting so much pressure on herself to get pregnant. He also says that children can’t be used to glue parents back together.
But he says she will get pregnant “inside a year.”
This makes Ashley happy.
Gizelle and Candiace meet with Gizelle’s father Curtis at Dooky Chase. They meet Leah Chase, the founder of the restaurant.
The mayor also pops up and speaks to everyone. She introduces herself to Candiace. She’s the first black woman to be the mayor of the city.
Ashley apologizes to Monique.
As the ladies head out to Curtis’ party, Ashley apologizes to Monique for not being sensitive to the fact that she had a miscarriage. Monique accepts Ashley’s apology. In a green screen interview, Candiace says that after that apology, she’s now open to being friends with Ashley again.
Later on at Curtis’ party, Candiace apologizes to Ashley for her earlier comments.
She also says she’d like to be a part of Ashley’s journey to motherhood. While Ashley accepts her apology, she says it’s going to take some time for her to involve Candiace in her personal life.
In a green screen interview, Ashley says Candiace’s mommy issues let her know Candiace needs to grow up.
Gizelle’s ex-boyfriend from many years back shows up and introduces himself. He tells the women they broke up because Gizelle heard some rumors.
Karen says Gizelle has a track record of not staying in relationships very long.
Candiace and Ashley clash, again.
Later on, Karen tells Ashley that Candiace feels like she’s being hypocritical to say she needs time to work on a friendship with Candiace.
As Candiace brings up the baby stuff with Ashley again, Ashley tells Candiace to stop worrying about her uterus
Monique tells Candiace that Ashley could have changed after having a miscarriage so she shouldn’t be judged.
Candiace says she understands this and Gizelle tells them to drop it because it’s her dad’s party.
The next day, the women board a steamboat, The Creole Queen.
Gizelle tells them she hung out with Steve last night and they kissed.
The mood changes quickly after Gizelle says that Karen stayed in because she was grieving. Karen takes this as a dig and tells Gizelle not to use that word.
Monique gets sleepy and decides to head back to the hotel for a nap.
So the ladies continue without her to eat some beignets at Café du Monde.
Gizelle is done trying with Karen.
It doesn’t take long for Karen and Gizelle to get into it after Karen asks how long ago Gizelle and Sherman broke up.
Gizelle says she’s not discussing that topic with Karen because she’s friends with Sherman’s ex wife.

In a green screen interview, Karen says she heard Sherman was at Saks with another woman. So Gizelle probably didn’t want this to be said in front of the other women.
Gizelle then says that Gizelle just attacked her and to never disrespect her again.
Robyn says that Karen could have said this without cursing at Gizelle and Karen says she will curse when she wants. But she will talk to her therapist about this.
