Lyrica is happy A1 is still attracted to her.
It’s the night of Lyrica’s pre-Espy’s performance. She’s really nervous and A1 doesn’t help things when he goes backstage to complain about Lyrica’s mother getting involved in their latest blowup at her soundcheck. A1 says they need to start leaving their mothers out of their marriage. Regardless, Lyrica cuts the conversation short to perform, “Cold,” the single that she penned with A1 about their relationship.
Lyrica’s mother is in the crowd cheering her on. After the show, A1 goes backstage to flirt with Lyrica. In a green screen interview, Lyrica says that it’s good to know A1 still wants her even though they aren’t in the best place.
Apple makes up with Paris.
Teairra Mari and Apple are at Lyrica’s performance connecting. Although Apple isn’t on the best terms with Paris and Zell, Teairra doesn’t have an issue with Apple. And she doesn’t want to get involved in the beef.
When Zell and Paris arrive, they walk up to Apple and Teairra. Paris and Apple hash things out and both admit that they don’t even really have an issue with each other. So they hug it out. Zell is happy that everyone is back in a good place.
Afterward, A1 and Lyrica join the group. They confirm that they are just taking things one step at a time. And the others encourage them to keep fighting for their marriage.
Nia returns and Apryl explains that infamous video.
It’s Apryl and Fizz’s housewarming. Nia Riley, Micky, and Slick are in attendance. It doesn’t take long for Apryl, Nia, Apryl’s friend Carter, Fizz and Fizz’s sister to discuss Moniece. Apryl says that the IG Live video of her bragging about sleeping with multiple famous men was rooted in sarcasm. And Nia says she believes Moniece leaked the Instagram Live video.
K. Michelle is in the studio back in Atlanta. She is focused on making her country music album. K. is told that she will have obstacles because she’s a woman and black.
Zell gets frustrated.
Paris, Zell, and Teairra talk about music. Teairra tells them that she wants to make a song with Apple. Zell questions why she didn’t ask him since he’s a rapper as well. He also calls her out for not showing up to studio time that he paid for. This leads to an explosive argument between Zell and Teairra. Zell wishes people would understand that he’s just as serious about his music career as he is his fashion line, East Avenue.
Zell has auditions for his upcoming fashion show. He breaks down in tears over his fallout with Teairra. But Paris and Booby encourage him to stay positive and not allow anyone to make him doubt himself.
Moniece wants full custody.
Jason hosts a music festival. Moniece, Teairra, Micky, and Ms. Nikki Baby show up. Teairra falls down and says it’s the shoes she’s wearing. She says she’s been sober for a while now.
They then discuss Moniece sharing audio of Apryl’s former close friend Jess Hilarious blasting Apryl on Instagram Live. Jess claimed Apryl uses Fizz as a babysitter while she tries to hook up with other famous men. Moniece tells Micky she is tired of trying to peacefully co-parent with Fizz and wants full custody.
K. Michelle and Karlie Redd meet up with her surrogate Tonai. She announces that she’s moving back to Atlanta because she feels it’s the best decision for her.
Teairra and Zell make peace.
Zell and Teairra hash things out. Both admit they have been hurtful to each other and they need to do better. Teairra is ready to be more supportive of Zell’s music career.
Jess Hilarious places the blame on Moniece.
Apryl and Fizz decide to meet up with Jess Hilarious. Jess tells them that Moniece called her up while Jess was on bad terms with Apryl. And she vented and Moniece vented. Jess claims she just agreed with everything Moniece was saying and half of it was just lies. Fizz asks if Jess now sees how “sick” Moniece is. Jess says she does.
After he leaves Apryl and Jess alone, Jess tells Apryl she needs to pull up on Moniece.
