Kitty has tension on her first day.

Prince has his son Prince, Jr. with him at 2nd City Ink. It’s Kitty’s first day and Jessica isn’t thrilled to see her walk into the shop. In a green screen interview, she says she called Charmaine who told her that Kitty actually isn’t the manager. She’s just there temporarily to help out.

When Kitty tells Prince, Jessica, and Fly Tatted that she’s there to manage, Jessica says Charmaine said differently and Kitty is a makeup artist. Kitty then says that she was the Brand Ambassador at Black Ink.

The tension between Kitty and Jessica continues to grow. They go off to talk and Jessica says that she’s the managing partner. And Kitty laughs when Jessica says that the artists there are her team.

Ryan hangs out with his son Mason. He’s proud to learn that Mason isn’t afraid to talk to girls. Ryan struggled with this when he was Mason’s age.

Don and Ashley have a blowup.

When Phor and Don catch up, Don vents about Ashley. He says it feels as if Ashley is poking at him all the time. So they have been fighting a lot. Even though Don and Phor feel as if Don has changed, Ashley is still having a hard time trusting him and moving on from him cheating in the past.

The tension is thick when Don and Phor join Ashley at a restaurant. She’s stressed out about her car being taken into the shop to be fixed. They’ve been arguing over finances and the fact that it will take $1600 to fix her car.

The couple argues in front of Phor and Ashley confirms she still has trust issues. A screaming match ensues and Ashley says that she made Don. He yells that he made himself and he can do just fine without her before storming off.

Kitty has big plans.

Ryan and Kitty meet at a restaurant to talk about 2nd City Ink. Kitty says the shop needs a lot of work and she’s taking it over. And Jessica isn’t taking well to the changes.

Back at home, there is still tension between Don and Ashly. After Don asks if Ashley can ever forgive him for everything and trust him again, it’s hard for Ashley to answer the question. Don says Ashley needs to figure things out soon or their marriage will get worse.

Charmaine and Neek are back in Chicago. They go to a doctor’s appointment to get an ultrasound. The good news is the baby is healthy. So the parents to be are thankful.

They don’t know the baby’s sex yet.

Kitty sets the new rules.

When Kitty gets to the shop at 11 am, no one is there and the place is dirty. So she doesn’t feel like speaking when the artists arrive. The artists are a bit annoyed that Kitty is sitting in Charmaine’s office.

She calls a meeting with them. Jessica is still not there.

Kitty says that there aren’t enough clients coming in so they should take walks in. Draya says that this is beneath them because walk-ins are cheap tattoos. But Kitty isn’t hearing it and says that walks in will be accepted. And kids aren’t allowed in the shop anymore. Changes will have to be made and if they don’t like it, they can leave.

Jessica decides to tattoo her client out of the shop. She’s not feeling how things have been going with Kitty.

Things worsen.

Charmaine returns to the shop, and tension between Kitty and Jessica explodes after Charmaine says she’s hiring Kitty permanently.

So Jessica and Charmaine talk in her office. Charmaine doesn’t feel like she has to talk to Jessica to hire someone. After Jessica reminds Charmaine that she came to help her all the way from London, Charmaine says that she owns the shop, not Jessica. Frustrated that Charmaine isn’t really caring that they are partners, Jessica gives Charmaine an ultimatum. Charmaine refuses to fire Kitty so Jessica quits.

When Don comes back home, he finds that Ashley is not there. She left a letter and her wedding ring.
