Shay Johnson’s time on “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” had her shown in a love triangle with Scrappy and Erica Dixon. She previously spoke on the moment at the season 1 reunion when Scrappy proposed to Erica on the stage.
Well, Shay had, even more, to say about her past with Scrappy. While sitting with producers speaking about her first scene with Scrappy on LHHATL, she spoke about how they made it onto the show.
She said she’s the reason Scrappy joined the cast.
Her agent reached out to her about the show. When it was time for auditions, Shay suggested that Scrappy audition as well since they were dating at the time. She was supposed to be a main cast member season 1. According to Shay, Scrappy went behind her back and ruined that chance.
She says that Scrappy brought Erica and Momma Dee to the producers. And he did it in an effort to get Erica to take him off child support. So Shay was reduced to a much smaller role.
She thinks this was a very shady thing for Scrappy to do. And he would continue to disappoint her a lot while they had a relationship.
