Amara La Negra and Emjay parted ways after Annie made some accusations about Emjay. Not too long after Amara heard what Annie had to say, she said that she was already feeling as if Emjay was too dependent on her financially.
During part one of the “Love And Hip Hop Miami” reunion, Amara and Emjay confirm that they are still broken up. But Emjay is still living in Amara’s home.
Shay then goes off and says that Emjay is being stupid because he won’t move on from Amara. And from what Shay can tell, it doesn’t seem as if Amara even wants Emjay.
Regardless, Emjay thinks what he has with Amara is true love. So he’s willing to be patient. And Amara makes it clear that she supports Emjay’s career just as much as he supports hers.
