Kendra wants normalcy, Shanique shuns Lia.
Kendra has been working one day a week since she’s become a mother. The clinic she works at is very close to where she grew up. So she’s passionate about the patients she sees.
Shanique and Jazmin go shopping for Halloween costumes. Apparently Shanique is throwing a party. Lia isn’t invited but Shanique says Lia should dress like a dump truck for Halloween since she’s so messy.
Mack talks to Britten about his upcoming trip out of town for work. He travels to Detroit and Orlando for work. And he hates that when he comes back, their son is sleeping in his and Britten’s bed.
Imani gets advice from Phil, Hobart speaks his mind.
Phil FaceTimes Imani from Oklahoma. She really misses spending time with him. She updates him on her issues Jazmin. While she wants to like Jazmin, she’s tired of apologizing. Phil tells her to remain peaceful and not be condescending.
Hobart isn’t thrilled when Kendra says she wants to go back to work full-time. She was supposed to be working part-time for six months. But Kendra wants to go back to her old self and this can only be achieved by going back to work full-time.
So Hobart warns her not to rush getting back to how things used to be.
Imani gets a little revenge.
Even though Shanique didn’t invite Lia to her Halloween party, Imani invites her as a plus one. She doesn’t mind being messy since Shanique and Jazmin have been messy.
It’s the night of Shanique’s party. Everyone meets at a haunted house event. Of course, Jazmin and Shanique think Imani was messy to invite Lia.
Afterward, the group goes out for drinks.
Lia calls out Shanique.
Lia brings up what Shanique told Kendra she said about her outfit. And she reveals that Shanique actually laughed and threw some shade too. Shanique admits to this and apologizes to Kendra. And Lia says Shanique was hypocritical to try to put her on blast at Kendra’s housewarming party when she was just as shady.
Kendra says she doesn’t really care about the shade about her outfit and she’s ready for everyone to move on. And she wants to go out with Lia again.
Jazmine and Lia, clash.
Later, Lia and Jazmin talk outside. And Lia tells Jazmin that Shanique is rude and it’s weird that Jazmin never calls her out.
Jazmin denies this and Lia says that Shanique is the other half of Jazmin’s brain. So she’s over them.
