Kurupt’s ready to leave.
After night 7 ends, Kurupt is angry. Dr. Ish removed the liquor from the house and he’s taking his anger out on Toni. He’s also looking to leave.
Eventually, Kurupt got what he wants and was taken to a hotel. Meanwhile, Toni’s in tears because she knows she can’t stop his drinking. This bleeds into day 8 and a time of reflection.
However, multiple couples in the program have issues. Between Kurupt, Toni, Vado, Tahiry to Hazel-E, and De’Von, Dr. Ish and Judge Toler have plenty to discuss individually.
First, Dr. Ish speaks with Hazel and De’Von about Hazel’s miscarriage. They are doing well in spite of what happened. Next, Judge Toler approaches Tahiry about Vado returning. Judge Toler lets Tahiry know if she gives the word, Vado will be gone.

Next, Dr. Ish and Judge Toler come together about Kurupt and Toni, specifically Kurupt’s drinking. When Kurupt came back to the house, Dr. Ish approaches Kurupt and gives him and ultimatum. Either Kurupt goes to rehab or he and Toni have to leave the Boot Camp house.
Kurupt refuses the offer and as a result, Dr. Ish tells him he can’t continue in the Boot Camp. Dr. Ish hopes Kurupt changes his mind in the future. Meanwhile, Toni decides that she’s going to leave and go back to Vegas to see her kids.
Lastly, Vado returns to the house for their exercises today. He’s going back to the hotel when the day is done. Vado is remorseful with everything he did.
The remaining couples open up about their childhoods.
After Toni Leaves, this leaves three couples, Tahiry and Vado. And day eight’s session will focus on their pasts. First, they take stickers and markers to decorate a toy car as a way to tell a story of self-reflection. During this session, Shanda revealed a strained relationship with her father and that affects her marriage to Willie. Medina had a mom suffering from severe mental illness; schizophrenia. She was committed to an institution as a result of trying to sell his brother. Meanwhile, Phaedra would tell a story of growing up with her grandfather in a racist Georgia town.
Hazel-E tells a story of how her mom was physically abused and De’Von explained he acted out from anger stemming from his parent’s divorce. Lastly, Tahiry brings up how her father was arrested for dealing drugs and Vado’s father was deported for drug dealing. After the drill, everyone debriefs about their cars.
Vado apologizes.
Later that night, Tahiry’s nervous because this is the first night Vado and Tahiry will see each other since their incident. For their next exercise, Dr. Ish has a child driving each car and tells their stories. Tahiry’s car goes first and it brings her to tears. Vado’s car comes next. It further comes out how it was his stepfather who was deported. His biological father abused his mom.
This whole exercise brings Tahiry to tears. Next are Shanda and Willie. Shanda’s insecurities from her strained relationship from her father bring her to tears. Willie’s story causes him to cry too.
Dr. Ish points out how Shanda and Willie have similarities with their backgrounds.
Lastly, De’Von and Hazel-E’s “kids” come up. De’Von’s kid was spoiled, seemingly, and Hazel wanted to be in control. De’Von seemingly didn’t get the premise of the lesson. Lastly, Phaedra and Medina come up. This brings tears to Phaedra’s eyes. In their interview, Hazel and De’Von get shady about everyone’s stories, especially Shanda and Willie’s. Apparently, they felt both Willie and Shanda were a bit dramatic.
Things turn tense when it’s time for Vado to apologize. Vado is nervous about the apology as he reads it as a poem. Tahiry wanted to hug him and kiss him. But she wants Vado to know that this could never happen again. Next, Judge Toler brings up that the next day is their lie detector day. Willie’s nervous because he’s fearful Shanda won’t leave the house with him if he fails.
As everyone goes inside, Vado and Dr. Ish have one more talk before Vado heads back to the hotel. Meanwhile, Hazel is teasing De’Von about him being spoiled. This leads to them having an argument. De’Von is seething as Hazel seemingly continues to tease him.
