Maurice returns from taking the bar exam.

Kimmi’s at home with Jaylin and Monster as they await Maurice to return home. Maurice traveled to Birmingham to take the state bar exam. Kimmi and Jaylin have a bet on whether or not Maurice will cry over taking the test and its results.

Eventually, Maurice returns home and is greeted by everyone and Maurice tells them he’s relieved it’s over. At dinner, Monster’s birthday is coming up, and he wants to rent a party bus he calls a Minivan. This gives everyone a good laugh at dinner. Next, Maurice promises to pay Kimmi back for all she did to support him.

The next day, Melody meets up with Iama and the other actors for a photoshoot for the play. Melody’s excited as she’s one step closer from accomplishing a childhood dream of acting. After the photoshoot, rehearsal begins and Melody once again says she easily relates to the role. Things get seemingly tense as Melody has to constantly get her lines read out to her. Iama compares the struggles of missing lines as “missing the lube.”

LaTisha and Marsau open up about their marriage.

At LaTisha and Marsau’s home, they have a discussion about their recent conversation where LaTisha had her feelings hurt. Marsau reiterates that he feels alone in their marriage. LaTisha loves the person she’s growing into. However, she doesn’t want their marriage to end up like the Holts. Marsau emphasizes that all she’s doing outside of the home is taking away from their marriage. LaTisha retorts that Marsau has to also focus and put an effort into their marriage. In a response, Marsau says Latisha’s being selfish.

LaTisha says she gave up a lot when they got married, including her last name and an internship in California. The conversation ends when Marsau says she should perhaps focus on herself and he can “take care of the family.”

Martell still doesn’t want to be around LaTisha and Marsau.

The next day, Melody’s getting ready for Maurice’s surprise party. Martell still doesn’t want to be around LaTisha and Marsau but Melody’s going. Kimmi invited them both but he tells Kimmi he still doesn’t want to be in the same building as Kimmi’s brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Melody’s thing is that they should be able to be mature enough to support Maurice. Melody surprisingly takes a shot at Kimmi when Martell reveals he had a talk with Kimmi at the office by himself. She says Kimmi likes to rub on Martell and brings up how Martell called her a side chick. Martell has to clarify, saying Kimmi wasn’t his side chick.

This leads to an argument and both accusing the other of not doing enough for them.

Meanwhile, Cedarric got everyone in the event just as Kimmi and Maurice show up to the surprise party. All of Maurice’s friends and family celebrate the taking of the bar exam. After Kimmi’s speech, the party gets underway. Melody shows up fashionably late and she wishes Martell showed up with her. LaTisha and Marsau, who aren’t in a good place, also show up. They put on a good front.

Maurice reveals he’s planning to practice consumer law and eventually open his own consumer law practice.

Melody gets shady.

Later on, Marsau sees his architect friend Andrea who was consulted by Destiny for the salon. Andrea’s offer was too much and Marsau tells her that he feels that the Holts working with Destiny would be better. Marsau tells Destiny she should sit down with them and draw up plans to give to the Holts to build. This seemingly rubs Destiny the wrong way. Melody and LaTisha walk over and hears Marsau’s plan. Melody says she doesn’t Marsau mentoring the Holts in anything. In her interview, she brings up that “Scholt” can’t be spelled without the Holt.

Melody gets shady saying that Marsau needs to finish a project first before he can mentor anyone. LaTisha claps back and says this is the shady Melody they all know.

LaTisha and Marsau clash.

Later on, LaTisha and Marsau are at home and LaTisha’s packing. Marsau’s frustrated as it’s 5:30 in the evening and he is hungry. Dinner isn’t cooked and he has to find something to eat. LaTisha didn’t give Marsau a heads up about this. LaTisha retorts that they could sync their calendars like Destiny and La’Berrick and she asks for his phone. Marsau declines.

He then says that he could find a young babysitter as a joke which annoys LaTisha. LaTisha then gets a call from Apryl that the event she invited LaTisha to speak at was canceled due to the pandemic. Marsau looks on with a smirk. This leads to an argument as LaTisha still wants to go to Birmingham. She still wants to see her mom and Apryl and Marsau brings up how her family and he don’t get along.

LaTisha gets angry when Marsau says he and LaTisha are from different sides of the track. She doesn’t like the statement at all and demands to know what Marsau meant. Marsau wants to know why she took the statement negatively. He uses an example of not seeing adults drink until he was almost in college. But the statement upsets LaTisha and she breaks down in tears. LaTisha says she’s sensitive about her family and brings up how people took shots at how she grew up.

But Marsau brings up that he was homeless before, sleeping on church floors. So he wouldn’t look down on her for growing up in the projects.

LaTisha then brings up how people said she was pretty for a dark-skinned girl. And this is another trigger for her as well. But Marsau had enough and goes off on LaTisha, telling her to get over being so sensitive about being teased in school.

Not long after the scene, production stopped due to the pandemic.

Marsau is so heartless, unkind, mean, non-supportive and selfish to his wife. I think he is a cheater. Be careful. The wife is always the last to know

LaTisha needs to get her priorities straight. Family first, husband is first. A way to a man’s heart is his stomach. Cook his dinner ,gurl!

I agree Dehsource. She is beginning to do too much. She knew who she married he is old school, wants to provide for his family as the bible tells him. Her priority should be family. That’s all he is asking for. i see nothing wrong with that.

That he is, all of that but his wife is also an airhead who needs to grow up & put him in his place. This is no time for tears. He would think twice about the things he says, to her if he knew she would come back on his tail. I don’t like either of them. She talks to much and always says childish stuff & he likes to put her down like he’s so smart.

He acts and looks like he could be her father. Plus she is a ‘cry baby” and he is a disrespectful know it all. I’m not a fan of either of them. And, her non talking mother does not help. Should be interesting to see if they make it through the crisis. Both are looking for something “new” and seem to be going in opposite direction.

LaTisha is always inappropriate. She is a loose canon as Mel said. I thought I knew Mel pretty much. But the comments she made about acting and coming at Kimmie I was shocked. Kimmie is the most sane female on the entire show!

      Correction:

Melody said that “Scholt” can’t be spelled without the HOLT.

Amen, Amen, Amen!! Kimmie better find another show or Mel & LaTisha will be the cause of her marital bubble busting. Misery loves company.

Girl bye everybody does not want Martell.Kimmie is the only mature one on the show. LaTisha just acts like a child and Melody wears her insecurities on her sleeve. She should not keep singing her own praises let her accomplishments speak for themselves. Marsau was quick to say no to LaTisha looking at his cell phone. Marsau never defends his wife. He likes to make her feel small. He was pissed off that she was crying. She needs to stop making snide remarks about the Holts and focusing on Melody so much and figure out why her own marriage is having so many issues. Reality shows are not good for marriages.

What in the world. LaTisha grow up, take up for yourself, so your Mom can get some rest. Marsau seems shady, and keeps telling LaTisha to stop barking at the ladies when they are shady and bringing her bones. He is very shady for a man and probably have some skeletons in his closet. Mel is Mel, and we all know Kimmie is in the middle.

Exactly J.P. Vaughn!!! I was in utter disbelief watching the show as Melody made shady comments about Kimmi. Kimmi has NEVER been inappropriate in her dealings with any male on the show, much less, Martell! Then to laugh and joke about her being the “side chick” and to not trust her to be alone with Martel, was hurtful to watch. I like Melody and know that she is dealing with a lot BUT this was an all time LOW for her!!! Shame on you Melody!

I am tired of Melody and Martel thinking they are all that. I am tired of Tisha always whining and wanting Kimmie to choose sides, these are grown women, you can’t tell people who they can be friends with. I think Kimmie has the best husband. I do think that Marsau is rude uncaring unkind and is a cheater, he’s the only husband that doesn’t defend his wife. And so far since the show has been on the air I haven’t seen him complete a project.

Not a fan of Kimmi’s husband either. He seems quite selfish at times. He wants what he wants and she just deals with it so that she can be a good wife and not add any stress. He wanted the son to move there but the son is always left with Kimmie, he want s her to quit her job so she can do what he wants her to do. He asked the ex-wife to move there without speaking to her first. He is kind of annoying.

Wow Blackrose, you broke that down beautifully! Hadn’t analyzed Maurice’s personality quite like that but you are absolutely correct! Martell and Marsau are so jacked up that I never thought about it like this. Kudos to you!

I applaud Melody and all of her accomplishments and her successes in her life. I do think Melody head is getting too big. The psychologist is telling her dont be too absent from your home because your kids might think shes not around. Latisha does say things at the wrong time. Marsau doesnt respect his wife at all. I dont think he is a good father. Martell has hurt his family several times. I pray Martells mistress isn’t pregnant. Kimme knows how to keep her man but they are newly weds, time will tell. I wish all the couples happiness and success in the future. I hope Huntsville will come back on. I love the show. The husband needs to love and respect their beautiful wifes.

I would like to add I dont care for Destiny at all. I think she is trying to be a mini Melody.

Melody did not have to go there, from what I am seeing Kimmi is the least of her worries. Latisha needs to quit acting like she the perfect marriage, stop comparing her marriage to the Holt’s. Learn how to stand you for herself and worry about her own marriage. Marsau needs to quit with the excuses something definitely does not smell right. As for Kimmi and Maurice they seem more sensible couple.

Marsau is a an awful husband and an awful business person. He should’ve told Destiny outright that her budget was too low and not try to pawn it off on other aspiring contractors with the premise of being a mentor. No one does that! And him acting like he is doing the Holts a favor is garbage because they are not in a good space. As a husband, he is p-ssed because his wife changed the game on him and no longer wants to sit at home. He doesn’t care for his kids and give Tisha a hard time about every event she goes to. Tisha is no better because she communicated like a 4th grader. She needs to stand up and demand some respect from him. And yes, Marsau is our there cheating is some form or fashion.
Tisha’s mouth is reckless and I can’t stand her.
Melody coming for Kimmi is so out of left field and disrespectful. Kimmi clearly has a brother/sister relationship with Martell.

The marital issues that Melody and Martell and LaTisha and Marsau are having didn’t start with the premiere of this show but its sad to see it play out on national television. They knew the repercussions of reality TV but chose to expose their issues anyway. These couples married early and their expectations have changed or they have simply outgrown the relationship. Whatever the reason I hope with counseling they can find a way to make it work together or still co-parent successfully should they separate. LaTisha is still stuck on age 22 and has to grow up and realize she can’t do everything she wants to do all at once. Marsau needs to talk TO her and not AT her. They would benefit from counseling and locking her mother in a storage bin while they repair and strengthen their marriage without her interference.

Not locking her in a storage bin. LMBAO🤣🤣🤣
