Charmaine and Lily’s issues were a hot topic.
“Black Ink Crew Chicago” star Charmaine has had a lot of controversial moments on the show. And there have been times that she has had issues with the producers and the direction of storylines. In fact, she wasn’t here for former cast member Lily using the N-word. For Charmaine, it was inappropriate for a non-black person to use the word while talking to black people. So when Lily would use the word during moments of anger, Charmaine called her out.
Lily didn’t see the issue and pushed back. She accused Charmaine of using the situation as a way to push her off the show.
As tension worsened between them, they even came to blows, twice. Some viewers even took to social media to taunt Charmaine about this and say she couldn’t fight.
Well, Charmaine recently shared some thoughts about this on social media. For Charmaine, she thinks it was unfair that she had to worry about violence at her place of work. And she also thinks it wasn’t cool that production kept Lily around and even brought her back on the show even though her usage of the N-word bothered black cast members.
