Is Martell Holt ready to start dating, again?

Martell Holt and Melody Holt had a very nasty divorce. Of course, most of it played out on “Love & Marriage: Huntsville.” In Melody’s opinion, Martell’s track record of being unfaithful ruined their marriage. However, Martell said that he wouldn’t have cheated if Melody was doing the things he wanted s*xually.

Of course, this led to explosive moments on the show. And many viewers have been calling out Martell on social media for his treatment of Melody.

Now that the divorce is final, Martell is wondering how he moves forward.

He called into Steve Harvey’s morning show hours ago to get some advice during the Strawberry Letter segment. And he said, “I guess I am going through a tough time because we do have our four children. Our divorce has been over a month ago now. And I guess I do want to move forward. But I guess I need to know how do I move on in terms of do I start to…I’m not gonna say start dating someone now but what does the future look like…”

Steve then said, “Well, you been doing that.”

After some laughs were had, Steve said the first thing Martell needs to do in order to move forward is to publicly apologize to Melody.

So that’s exactly what Martell did. He said, “So to Melody, the person I’ve been with over 14 years, I grew up with you. We’ve accomplished a lot in life, we got four beautiful children. I wouldn’t be the person I am, and I’m not talking about the negative things but I wouldn’t be the person I am without you. I do love you, I love what we stood for. And it’s my deepest hope that we can co-parent together, accomplish that, and make sure that we raise our children in the same way we wanted to raise them when we were together.”

He continued, “So I just want you to know that I am sorry to have put you through this, my children through this, our families through this. It hurts me and I know it hurts you just as much as it hurts me and I’m sorry, Melody, for everything that I’ve done. Everything. But I thank you for the opportunity that you gave me. You gave me plenty of chances to get it right. God gave me plenty of chances to get it right.”

Martell also wished the best for Melody in her own future, “I remember us talking about things in terms of God blessing us and showing us favor. And then every time I step out we lose that favor. And to you, I wish you the best in life, your career, and from the bottom of my heart, I am sorry. I am.”
