Destiny’s father helps her celebrate a major milestone.

Destiny has a major photoshoot. It’s for Hype Hair Magazine and her dad Donnie shows up to the photoshoot with flowers for Destiny. Donnie’s very proud of his daughter and cries when he tells her this. LaTisha also stops in for the photoshoot and they joke about introducing Donnie to Miss Wanda.

LaTisha’s proud of Destiny for everything that’s happening for her and the Madonni hair care line. Of course, they recap the Las Vegas trip and Tiffany’s messiness. Destiny brings up they don’t know much about Louis and Tiffany other than the surprise wedding at the Huntsville ballpark. It also comes up from Destiny how Melody keeps defending Tiffany. Destiny expresses that she likes parts of Tiffany’s personality and wants to fix the bad parts.

Concerning Marsau and the chapel, LaTisha was just over it all.

Martell devises a plan.

Meanwhile, Martell visits Marsau’s office to talk about the 47 acres. It’s about one month out from construction moving forward with tree removal. Martell tells Marsau about Chris approaching Melody and how he’s angry. Since Martell doesn’t have his builder’s license, Melody had the license, Martell approaches Marsau about partnering up to build on it. Marsau gets concerned about jumping into that and asks Martell if he’s willing to partner with Melody.

Martell says he would be willing to do this but Marsau doesn’t believe him and feels it’s very unlikely he will be able to work with Melody. Chris Fletcher then stops by the office and flatly asks how will Martell, Melody, and he will be able to work together. Chris says that Martell and Melody would need to put the personal beef aside for business.

Destiny and Tiffany bond.

The next day, Destiny and Tiffany meet up for their one on one meeting. They meet up at the bar and exchange pleasantries. But Tiffany tells Destiny she second-guessed accepting the invitation because of the moments they have. Destiny replies that this happened because of Tiffany’s “smart mouth.”

Tiffany responds, saying that Destiny was once the new girl and needs to recall how it was for her also.

She also sarcastically brings up Destiny’s rift with Kimmi during Destiny’s first season. Tiffany also says she’s misunderstood. Next, Destiny says she doesn’t know anything about her. At this point, Tiffany opens up. Tiffany’s biracial and was given up for adoption by her white mother.

Destiny can relate because she was in and out of foster care due to her mom’s drug addiction.

She also found out she was adopted at 19 and at the same time she was pregnant with her first child. Tiffany apologized for bringing up Destiny’s tea and Destiny accepts the apology. At the end of their conversation, Tiffany invites Destiny to her anniversary party.

Melody’s angered by Martell’s plan.

Meanwhile, Melody stops by Chris’ office to talk business. Melody’s ready to move forward to build. Things get interesting when Chris brings up Martell’s displeasure with Chris approaching “going behind his” back about asking her to build. Chris explains to Melody that his client asked to speak to her about building the homes. Melody says she doesn’t care about Martell’s frustration about it all. She only cares about making moves to take care of her four children. In her interview, Melody says Martell should’ve put more focus into getting his builder’s license instead of “other things,” indirectly bringing up his infidelity and 5th child.

Chris tells Melody there will be a process to pick who will build. Things get tense when Chris brings up how Martell brought Marsau to their meeting to talk about the 47 acres. Melody responds, calling it, “interesting.” Melody feels type of a way about Martell approaching Marsau about this instead of her, which cuts into the income that she needs to take care of their kids.

So she’s going to put in a bid to build and not allow Martell to “take food out of their kid’s mouths.”

Maurice helps Martell with his credit.

Maurice’s at his office and he’s been busy since his trip to Vegas. Martell stops in for a chat and he’s impressed with Maurice’s office. He tells Martell he closed 3 cases and he’s extremely busy. Martell needs Maurice’s help. His credit is 100 points lower than it was before his divorce. In fact, he filed for bankruptcy. Maurice says it’s going to take 2 years for him to finance any home building and he needs to build his credit. This will require patience.

Maurice then brings up how he and all of the guys need to face their stress, anxiety, and depression. In fact, he wants all of them to speak to a therapist. Martell’s interested if the therapist is a good fit.

LaTisha has another session with Dr. Francis.

Although Marsau isn’t interested in counseling and therapy, LaTisha has another session with Dr. Francis. During their conversation, LaTisha brings up how she felt burnt out in light of the pandemic. LaTisha feels Marsau wasn’t giving her enough support in the home and Dr. Francis points that out.

LaTisha explains how in her family, men were catered to and don’t do household chores. Interestingly enough, LaTisha wasn’t interested in getting married until she met Marsau while a senior in college.

In fact, she was pregnant when she married Marsau. While she’s concerned with Marsau’s depression and anxiety, she didn’t picture getting married at all.

They also talk about Marsau’s potential depression. Dr. Francis is surprised at LaTisha revealing that Marsau says LaTisha’s desire for “nice things” is bringing on the depression. He gets LaTisha to reveal that she wasn’t in a household where displays of affection were readily shown growing up. Marsau is different in that regard. He does things like write poems and tells LaTisha he loves her. However, LaTisha would rather have Marsau spend time with her and buy gifts.

Next, the Las Vegas trip comes up, and the rumors of infidelity and an outside child. Dr. Francis asks why LaTisha defends Marsau in light of the rumors and how she finds out if the rumors are a lie.
