Comedian Kevin Hart may be on top of the comedy game with his new hit show on BET, Real Husbands of Hollywood, however, he recently got himself into quite the legal trouble when he was arrested for DUI a couple of weeks ago. The comedian told TMZ that he did tell the police officers who arrested him that he was intoxicated, and he also apologized to his fans via his Twitter account for making the choice to drive while drunk. While Kevin may consider the situation a wake up call that he desperately needed, that doesn’t erase the fact that he could possibly end up in jail for the incident. According to TMZ, the comedian was charged for DUI and is facing up to one year in jail. However, most suspect he won’t spend one day behind bars. The website reports:
TMZ broke the story … Hart was arrested for DUI almost two weeks ago after CHP spotted him speeding and driving erratically on an L.A. freeway. We’re told cops clocked Kev at 90 MPH and watched as he almost collided with a gas tanker truck.
Our sources say Hart blew almost DOUBLE the legal limit — .15.
The L.A. City Attorney has charged Hart with two misdemeanor counts of DUI. If convicted, he faces up to a year in jail, but the reality is … first offenders almost never get sentenced to the pokey.
We’re hoping that this whole situation is the wake up call the comedian needed to start using a driver when he plans to party hard with his Hollywood friends.
He won’t serve any jail time I’m sure. But hopefully he will “turn down” some.
He’ll get off. But he does need to just get a driver like most celebs do at some point.

People should stop saying that:oh he/she did a mistake…drinking driving is no joke..A friend of mine was comming home from work and she was hit by a drunk driver that put her in a coma for two months…so she lost two months of her life where a mother, who had terminal cancer, died and she wasn’t able to say goodbye…until this day she in and out of depressions…so I don’t excuse the people who choose to drink and then drive, is like giving a child a loaded gun….Kevin,Reese and the celebs who are cought in DUI should be punished real hard…..SMH
