In the latest episode of “Real Housewives of Potomac,” Wendy clashes with her mother and sister over her father. Plus, Angel denies being evicted. Here are the highlights for “Potomac and Ponies and Problems.”
Angel denies being evicted.
The episode begins with the continuation of Angel explaining her house situation at Wendy and Gizelle’s event. She says she was confused about their place being overbooked because she thought she had given the owner the exact date they would be moving out of the property.
Off to the side, Gizelle tells Jassi that the whole situation sounds “very strange.”
“To answer your question, I was not evicted, homegirl,” Angel says to Wendy.
Stacey and Angel tell producers they still believe Angel was evicted. Meanwhile, Keiarna insists Angel has been “trustworthy” for the 20 years they have been friends. So she believes Angel.
In real-time, Ashley tells Angel that it’s been rumored that she moved to Maryland just to be on the show. Angel denies this. In a confessional, Angel laughs at the thought of moving just to be closer to Ashley, Gizelle, and Wendy.
Wendy talks to her father.
Thiemo decides to make his exit, but not without speaking to Wendy and Eddie first. He would like to get to know Eddie and Wendy better. However, it’s clear he has no interest in getting to know anyone else in the group.
When Gizelle is informed Thiemo has left the party early, she tells producers she had no idea who he was and figured he worked at the venue. As for Ashley, she wonders why Thiemo is being handled with “kid gloves.”
Eddie and Wendy admire their home renovations. Next, the couple is hoping to install a swimming pool.
They shift topics and discuss Wendy’s father. She is disappointed they didn’t see him the last time they went to Nigeria.
Wendy FaceTimes her father to tell him how she feels. He feels there is no need to dwell on the past. They can and will move forward. He misses her too.
Greg and Keiarna have an awkward moment.
Keiarna moves back in with Greg for the second time. She tells producers she knows her mother and brother didn’t want her to do this. But she and Greg have to do what they feel is best for their relationship. The ring is a “cherry on top” for her.
Greg hands over a gift for Keiarna to open to celebrate her moving back in. She pulls out red roses and a box from Radcliffe Jewelers. Producers immediately flash back to Greg ring shopping at the store with Angel and Keiarna’s mother. The gift in the Radcliffe box turns out to be a picture frame. Not an engagement ring or any other type of jewelry.
“We’re gonna put our first picture in there,” Greg says.
“Okay,” responds Keiarna.
In a green screen interview, Keiarna says she is a Sagittarius, and so is Greg. They won’t allow the opinions of others to run them.
Regardless, Greg struggles to give Keiarna assurance that marriage is really in their future.
Ameera, Tia’s sister, comes to visit her.
Tia and her sister Ameera grab a bite to eat and catch up. Ameera lives in Nigeria. It took them a while to get close because Ameera and their brother were born while their father was married to Tia’s mother.
Ameera and Tia began to bond after their father passed away. Tia called Ameera to tell her the news, and she said Ameera was loved. This opened the door for them to begin a relationship.
Both women become emotional as they remember their father. Tia now understands he just wanted his kids to be together and be close.
Ivy and Susan are critical of Wendy’s desire to have a relationship with her father.
Wendy’s sister Ivy and her mother Susan visit. She takes the opportunity to tell both about her recent conversation with her father. She tells them the conversation went well, and he was very warm to her. Ivy warns Wendy not to get her hopes up.
Wendy takes issue with her mother referring to her father as a sperm donor. She asks her children to go upstairs so the adults can finish their conversation. Once they are gone, Wendy continues to clash with her mother. She accuses her mother of wanting a moment in front of the camera when she breaks down in tears.
Wendy calls out Ivy for siding with their mother and not calling out her behavior. Things escalate when Wendy becomes tearful. Her mother tells her to shut up and stop attention-seeking. So Eddie steps in to console Wendy.
After Ivy and Susan leave, Wendy tells Eddie she is used to their behavior. She feels like they gang up on her all the time if she doesn’t hold the same views about her father. And the reason she wants a relationship with her father is that she feels left out.
What are your thoughts on the episode?
Wendy’s momma is bitter and mean as f-ck. Evelyn Braxton all over again.
Susan don’t respect Wendy and she always hollering about all the work she did for them when they were small. You did what mother supposed to do to raise your kids she wants all the credit and Wendy money and she cussed her out on her own platform. Just cause she talk to her dad Wendy a grown woman and why would you talk like that in front of the kids.Susan wants to control her. I would have put her out two.
