Grace Jones has inspired many in fashion with her bold and innovative style.

Grace Jones may be one of the most underrated influences in the world of fashion, but that does not in any way mean that we don’t see bits and pieces of her in most of today’s younger generation of celebrities. When it came to fashion, Grace Jones was just as outrageous as her behavior. And those that know fashion love her for it.
When it comes to this fashion icon, there is only rule that applies to her style: there are no rules. She isn’t one to study trends and implement them in her wardrobe; she wears what she feels like wearing. Even if it may appear to be a tad bit scary, her decision to forsake fashion trends is one of the reasons why so many are so intrigued with her style.
Grace Jones is all about the drama and her style oozes boldness in every garment she chooses. Jones took a dramatic approach to style while never forsaking her love of art and creativity.
The things that always worked for the fashion icon was her courage to abandon all that was soft and feminine. She would rock masculine hair cuts and hoods while still managing to be one of the most confident women in the business.
Signature Looks
1. The Short Box Cut
Grace Jones is widely remembered for rocking a short box cut back in the 80s. This was a very bold move for a woman at a time when shorter hair just wasn’t quite popular or socially accepted. And although she rocked the masculine haircut, she still managed to be one of the most gorgeous women in the industry.
2. Hoods/Hooded Scarves
No one and I mean no one, can wear the hood like Grace Jones. She made hoods less masculine and quite the sexy accessory. In particular, she is known for mostly wearing hooded scarves, which made a re-appearance with new Pop Star sensation Lady Gaga.
3. Theatrical Hats
Nothing brings the drama better than spectacular hats, and Grace Jones took full advantage of that. Jones rocked big and glamorous hats, and used them to add boldness to her style.
Although Jones may not be in the spotlight as much as she used to be, at 60 years old, she is still one of the baddest women to touch a runway and photo shoot.
Grace’s influence can be seen in young superstars such as Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and socialite Amber Rose.
Now this woman is bad! So many try to imitate but they will NEVER duplicate!
She still looks like that at 60?! Damn!
